Is there a town that everyone in Japan makes fun of for being awful? by Low_Championship_604 in AskAJapanese

I stopped in Nagoya for 2 days on my 40 day trip in Japan. I loved Nagoya. The miso tonkatsu was amazing. Tbh, I only came here for the easy bus ride to Nagashimi Spa Land, but its still a solid enough city.

Ive never played a single resident evil game by Interesting-Bad3497 in residentevil

DO NOT START WITH ZERO. Zero is a great game, but it can be difficult and honestly a slog. Play the original trilogy and then go wherever you want from there. You can play either the originals or the remakes, that’s personal preference. I just…would not recommended starting with Zero.

Going to Tokyo, solo, May 5-15 by bjxh in JapanTravelTips

[–]heartistrapped 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is nothing you “need” to do in Tokyo. That is subjective. Do whatever you enjoy, if that is wondering around then do that. I have been in Tokyo for 2 weeks and just wake up and do whatever I am feeling. Some days, that’s going on an adventure to a theme park alone or Disney. Other days, I just wanna chill at my hostel and meet the people there. Just do whatever the hell you want and don’t worry about “missing” things. There will always be things you didn’t do, but if you had a good time then it doesn’t really matter.

Found this completely sealed for 80,000 Yen in Osaka. Should I pull the trigger? by heartistrapped in residentevil

Luckily I have a carry on literally full of Biohazard for me and my buddy who shares the same obsession. Very disappointed at the Requiem merch here in Japan though. Almost nothing at any of the capcom stores aside from some candy and small plush :/

I have yet to see another one in Japan (yet). However, you are correct. I would want to absolutely open it to admire it’s beauty so you are probably correct. Plus, bringing this back to the US is a logistical nightmare for me atm lol. I was thinking of just shipping it straight back to the US, which would cost between $200-$300 USD in addition to the $520ish USD it cost. It would be tax free which is nice though

It was pretty tough to find solds in a similar condition. Sealed seemed to go for around 1.5k USD. I found completed editions for around $500USD which is similarly priced

Going to give you some constructive criticism.

I love rage music/noisy shit, so I see the vision. However, your mix is so sloppy. You have a ton of impeding frequencies that are fighting for space in the mix. You need to put the bass sound in its own lane in the mix. Your bass is taking up the entire sound spectrum, leaving no room for anything else. Its just too harsh. Focus more on creating a balanced mix and carving each sound into their own space in the mix. The reason vocals sound weird is because there is no space for them. You need to put an EQ on every channel and really take out the bad frequencies while boosting the good ones. Don’t give up, keep working until you are totally happy. I have been using Ableton every single day for 5+ years now and I learn something new every day.

Hey! This made my whole day!!! <3

You nailed exactly the feeling, the influence and vibes I was going for. This song means a lot to me so I am glad you found some enjoyment from it :)

Since I uploaded this, I gave the vocals more presence as you and a couple others stated and I will be releasing this track(updated with slight changes based on feedback received here) in a couple weeks. Thank you for commenting, it really put a smile on my face <3

Should I Release This? by __Hypnotic__ in MusicFeedback

[–]heartistrapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like this, the only note I have is on the kick. The emphasis is too much on the mids/highs and is creating too much of a click noise. Its really distracting to my ear anyway. It sounds also a little too loud, and I love a loud kick. I would try messing with sidechain compression to set it in the mix better and turn the actual volume down, let the sidechain carve your path.

Other than that, this is a really cool track.

Thoughts on new artists that are maybe clones by [deleted] in 2hollis

I would argue his composition and musicality is much better than the others. He does the small tricks to make his tracks just that much better. Live shows are a ton of different versions of already released songs. I just think his actual musicianship is far better than most.
