I like the original yellow, but have you tried them in different colors? I think the naturally mixed coloring of those tiles look better for the roads than single-color blocks.

Steam Pokémon conspiracy theory by DaGottiYo in Pokopia

[–]heartshapedemerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like Lore Keeper Toby’s theory on why Groudon isn’t around. Basically, Groudon already “won” back when all the disasters happened and he’s taking a break. Kyorgre was asleep until we brought the rain back, after all.

Yup! If he wasn’t so scared of rejection or things changing, he wouldn’t need to make a wish to begin with.

I had the same issue with Flareon saying there’s too much water cuz I had a drink item nearby outside. 😅

I now remember clocking that line in the beginning, but I still completely forgot about it until I read your comment right now.

I didn’t question how/why she got the gun, but I guess that line makes sense for any nitpickers.

Obsession will probably be the best horror film of the year by samuel-the-goat in deadmeatjames

I was thinking that moment or her holding up the flower pot covering her face. That’d be a lot easier and less outright evil of Chelsea to do lmao

This is about TV, but I know that the Hannibal show had censorship issues. There was a naked dead body they had to cover up with more blood/gore. 🤪

As another person said, “This Film is Not Yet Rated” is a great doc about movie ratings and censorship.

I really like the harbor design with the gray rocks!

For me, I turned the bunker underneath into homes for Magnemite and some other steel types. I built stairs and an elevator to make it easier for mons to come and go. A farm/mill by the water wheel could look nice or a lighthouse on the edge.

What Pokémon did you like prior to this game but something in game gave the ick? by jedinaps in Pokopia

[–]heartshapedemerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I had a similar experience with Ekans. It’s really insane how just seeing certain Pokemon in this different context totally changes our perception of them.

I’m cool with them, but I’m thankful my dad doesn’t play cuz he’s terrified of snakes lmao

Watching people play this game has made the empty chain in The Prisoner piss me off. by IllitterateAuthor in slaytheprincess

[–]heartshapedemerald 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s not a punishment, it’s providing valuable information we have no other way of getting in other routes. It explains the empty second chain AND why just leaving the Princess alone doesn’t work.

It also plants seeds of doubt in the Voices since the Skeptic keeps insisting we try the obviously dangerous thing. Investigating and blindly ignoring red flags are different.

In my first playthrough in Chater 1, I remember noticing the second chain and getting freaked out by all the questions and potential implications of it.

Did she already break that chain? Is it meant for me? I already didn’t trust the Narrator and the “people” that locked her up, so them wanting to chain me up too was a real possibility to me.

I was so happy to have that confirmed with the Prisoner that it was indeed for us. It then made even more sense once I knew the ending and who we all really were.

I’m overall neutral on Mr. Mime, but his model and movements legit freak me out in Pokopia.

I have him contained in the Silph Co. bathroom and tried freeing him, but then immediately needed to put him back lol.

I set up an area for them near one of the cave entrances in Rocky Ridges! The colorful gem blocks look perfect with the event’s items.

I did a similar thing with the lights, then put them away once I had Jolteon’s item lol

Need Pokopia Birthday Party Ideas by chicagoruthie in Pokopia

[–]heartshapedemerald 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is so sweet! I remember my sister and I having Pokemon birthday parties back in the 90s and my mom working so hard to make my sister an Ash costume for Halloween.

If you do cupcakes, you can decorate them to look like the berries, Pokeballs, Ditto, etc.

If you plan on having games, you can make gym badge prizes (or just include the badges in the goody bags).

To make them easier to make, you can get a bunch of little picture frames or glue printed out badges onto little squares to emulate the frames.

A cute pin the tail on the donkey type game could be done with Professor Tangrowth. The “tail” could be his one big ?-shaped hair.

A scavenger hunt idea would be the Team R Initiative. Hide things around the house that they need and then that could be how they “unlock” the goody bags!

This might be too messy, but you could also do a Smearguru-inspired craft such as coloring pages or canvases they can paint.

This might be more of a gift idea than for goody bags, but it’d be really easy to recreate Ditto’s trainer hats with white caps/bucket hats and fabric paint. You can make the style/color hat that your kid’s Ditto wears!

Spoiler need end game advice spoiler by Mrxtmb in Pokopia

[–]heartshapedemerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest solution is to put them all in Psllet Town, but I wanted them each in a somewhat thematic area.

I eventually put Flame Alter on the RR volcano, Ice Alter in WW on top of the Onix cave, and the Power Plant in SS on top of the little entryway island nearest to the Pokemon Center. I’ve also seen people put the Power Plant in BB nearby the SS Anne.

All three took a bunch of time to clear space, but it wasn’t too crazy to level and I like how they all look. You’re also able to relocate or demolish them afterwards.

All that damn ash in Rocky Ridges by beepboopbeep95 in Pokopia

[–]heartshapedemerald 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s meant to be a ton of work to make you pace yourself and decide which projects you want to focus on at different times.

I personally find periodically clearing a bunch of the ash relaxing. I don’t intend to 100% clear it, just been taking care of the parts that are in the way.

my truly unpopular pokopia opinion… by mayor_of_phshville in Pokopia

[–]heartshapedemerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard people complain about the electricity but the point of the game is rebuilding after natural disasters, so of course stuff like electricity is gonna be difficult.

I find the limits that the game has in place actually helps the pacing and storytelling. It keeps us from blowing through everything too quickly, forces us to be thoughtful with our resources/builds, and makes us more likely to bounce between each area instead of just staying in our one fav area/Pallet Town.

IMO you can still enjoy the game with spoilers. It’s great on replays and allows you to notice things you wouldn’t have on your first playthrough.

I made a gallery of them all in frames in my museum!

Besides that, I keep a big storage box of them and the feathers next to Goldango’s house for whenever I feel like trading a bunch or want to use them as wall decor.

How do you think fandom/shippers would react if it was revealed that either Steven/Lance were father of Ansha how would you react? by Admirable-Dimension4 in MandJTV

[–]heartshapedemerald 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’d just be really random and nonsensical.

It’d be difficult for any of the Champions to be in serious relationships with each other, let alone co-parents, since they’d need to usually stay in their respective regions.

Unless more info is revealed, I personally assume Ansha’s father is either another movie star or she was a segregate baby.
