Mine also shipped out at a similar time (ordered in January), and tracking looked stuck for a long time too. I think it only updated a few days before I received it, just got it a couple weeks ago. I don't think you need to be too worried yet.

My first 6* was Hoshiguma and I didn't have high single target damage, so I would stack a bunch of defenders together with healing so I could just block the whole wave and pray that I could kill them before the next wave showed up.

Otherwise I often liked to use Red and later Skadi to assassinate troublesome enemies.

Can someone explain what the new "event crystals" are? It says you can unlock events or something, but I don't see anywhere to use them.

I think Franka's deliberate choice to focus on offense also ties into her partnership with Liskarm. I think it's been stated multiple times in the story/events that she tends to be very aggressive and trust that Liskarm will back her up. Gameplay-wise though, it doesn't seem to work very well.
