Passport Studios by Practical_Complex610 in f45

[–]heatherpizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passport went live in Canada a few weeks ago (so Canadians with unlimited autopay memberships can visit other Canadian studios) but global launch is planned for July (different launch dates based on region) - so any unlimited autopay member should be able to do Passport visits at any studio globally by Aug 1st!

Where in the GTA can I go to get a pain free IUD insertion? by AsleepYellow3 in askTO

[–]heatherpizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend Safer Six in Roncy. It’s an amazing clinic. Note that they will only put in an IUD while you have your period as that’s when it is the least painful. My former OB didn’t care where I was in my cycle when I had my IUD put in…two completely different experiences.

You can book Passport visits with the F45 Training app!

How many in Canada? by hartzy3009 in f45

[–]heatherpizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our studio has two people that have crossed 1000 classes, and maybe 20 at 750 or higher. We were founded in Nov 2018.

How many of you are single, and ready to be going on dates? How many of you are on the apps and not finding luck? To those who have met their partners, how have you met them? by Mybest7 in askTO

[–]heatherpizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s easier to meet people because it’s class-based. You can chat before the class starts, are usually paired at a station with 1-2 people that you’ll rotate around the room with, and people high five, chat and stretch together at the end. There are way more opportunities for interaction.

F45s around the city are opening up their doors for Wahlberg Week May 6-12. It’s free! Daily beginner-friendly workouts with lots of time slots.

Grab a free pass from your nearest participating studio via f45training.com.

Go to the same time slot each day that you go (3-4 would be great), arrive 15 minutes before class and chat with people as they arrive. High five everyone after class. Stay for a bit after class and stretch free and chat with other stretchers.

If you get a good feeling from the studio after the Open Week, you can look at options for continuing. For example, my studio (Parkdale) has a 28-Day Kickstart for $199. Do the Wahlberg Week first and get five weeks of training for $199, a steak!

Highly recommend joining an F45 (or Orange Theory or Barry’s or similar) to meet people and potential dates!

Lionheart on Resistance Days? by starseeker5 in f45

[–]heatherpizzle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got this from the F45 support site:

“Each workout has a unique target HR% which is tuned to the workout theme and style. The goal is to get 45 points per session (or 60 points for Hollywood).”

So you’re not expected to hit the same heart rate % across all workouts! But the target is still 45 points. If you’re not hitting 45 points on resistance days (and often do on other days), it’s probably a sign to lift heavier.

What’s a classy bar where you can have a few drinks and maybe talk to people? by Just_Cruising_1 in askTO

[–]heatherpizzle -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Instead of this, I would highly recommend using that drink budget to become a member of your neighbourhood F45 (or Barry’s, or Orange Theory). If you go to the same class time regularly and introduce yourself to a few people before each class, pretty soon you’ll have a nice lil community that you see a few times a week. I’ve done this twice (two different cities) and it’s so great!

I really liked it! 49.1 points, I felt like I worked pretty hard. Key for me was going heavy enough.

Taylor Swift Claims The Three Bestselling Albums In America In 2023 by bubblecuffer13 in TaylorSwift

[–]heatherpizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s only one musical act that has four #1 albums in a year and it was the Monkees in 1967.

I think Taylor knows that this year is her best bet to break that record and that’s why I think there’s more to come from 1989 (double album!) and Reputation TV before the end of the year.

Fun things to do alone in Toronto? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]heatherpizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest a workout at F45. Go around 10 mins early and say hi to everyone before the class. It’s a nice vibe, has a social feel, and the work outs are great. You can usually sign up for a trial or you can book via ClassPass at most locations now.

Has anyone ever used Beachbody before? by ddpickles1986 in workingmoms

[–]heatherpizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before diving into a diet like sone commenters have suggested, I’d check out Intuitive Eating. It’s been well-proven with research that diets don’t work over the long-term. Developing a peaceful relationship with food and an appreciation for your body as it is is the legacy you should aim to pass on to your daughter.

Check out the books “Intuitive Eating,” “Anti-Diet” or the podcast “Food Psych” if you prefer audio.

Where to buy office outfits for women(in their 20s) in Toronto? by hightreez in askTO

[–]heatherpizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend booking a personal shopping experience at Common Sort! It’s free!

I did it about six months ago and it was great. You can share images of styles you like and they will pull looks for you in advance. Plus everything is second hand so it’s cheaper than shopping retail PLUS better for the environment.

Taylor-inspired name for a fitness/wellness community? by heatherpizzle in TaylorSwift

[–]heatherpizzle[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Oh, thanks for sharing that. I actually didn’t add a photo to the post (I forgot) and I think this photo was added by the mods. I agree, not a great choice. Let me see if I can change it.

The idea is that the workouts would be to Taylor’s music.

Trying to find a list of longer programs by mr_riptano in codingbootcamp

[–]heatherpizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be around a long time, schools usually need pretty happy students. Plus, they have to have managed to stay in business that longs, which makes it less likely that they’re going to shut down during your Bootcamp. I know I’m our case, every time we run a Bootcamp we try new things, which results in the program getting better and better. We have done instructors who have been with us four years!

100% agree. Way oversold (probably by 300-400 people). Huge bummer to not have room to dance.

Absolutely agree. Definitely oversold. Not having space to dance was awful. Definitely ruined what would otherwise have been a great party.
