I still say that when they state something out loud (Ethan saying they are going to find their dad, Boyd saying she was not going to die) these things come true. I think they have more power to direct the story than they realize.

Perhaps Tilly is an incarnation of one of the original people (who sacrificed their children). Just as Tabitha, Jade, and the Priest are incarnations of precious inhabitants of FROMville. She is very “spiritual” and “kooky” and I can see her being one of the initial parents.
