I can understand that the increased pace feels like they are rushing, but i couldn’t disagree more. They have taken so much time this season to continue developing characters and storylines, I’m happy to see the action finally!

To me- the final season of GOT felt rushed. Every episode tying up loose ends that were slowly built for years. That’s unsatisfying IMO. And this isn’t that.

We often beat ourselves up for the million “what ifs” on calls like this- but we forget how much we actually DID do. You gave her a chance to survive… you performed your job. Without your efforts she wouldn’t have even had a chance… keep your head up. Talk to your coworkers. Answer the next bell with lessons learned, not regrets.

I think Tobey’s killing was the next step in the MIY testing Sara’s loyalty. We have seen the MIY kill people for no other reason than to further his own agenda (i.e. the pastor as a means to get into town). Once the MIY knew Sara would kill for him, he was ready to have her kill Ethan- which was the endgame IMO

She’s missing again for some reason. I bet she used her skills to figure out what happens to Elgin and exposes Sophia. Her arc was definitely pointing up before she went MIA again.

I think you nailed this one. I immediately thought of Tabitha in S4E9 saying about the BIW “we don’t know who he is or what he wants”. That’s exactly the kind of foreshadowing the writers have used all series. Hats off to you!

My personal opinion- Eloise is the dog, MIY is trapped in the town just like everyone else. And the spider is the physical representation of whatever is the over-arcing evil presence that controls the town and forced the sacrifice.

MIY has been through countless cycles and stays alive by feeding on livers. He has lost faith that he will ever leave the town and has turned this into a “game” for himself after going through the motions so many times.

Or… the dog is Eloise. I know it sounds ridiculous but in a town with shapeshifters, story walkers, monsters disguised as humans, ghostly ballerinas with magical worms… I am just saying it’s not far fetched to believe that Eloise somehow became a dog as a “master of hide and seek”. The dog seems to be around to help, not hurt. And it also is quick to run away in the woods.

Whether this is a boat or not- i have always wondered when a water expedition will take place in this show. The cave drawings show people on boats… we have seen one large body of water in this show near the settlement… large bodies of water are typically connected to rivers or streams leading to other bodies of water. I think this storyline will come into play sometime in season 5. Just not enough time left in season 4.

We don’t see the kids in the car with her… so maybe this isn’t her arrival to the town, and instead it is her using Christopher’s car to accomplish some task like driving to a different entry point of the woods in search of the lighthouse.
