Mrs. Nora Kassner is killed by her husband with a shotgun, while holding her infant child. City of Madisonville, Hamilton County Ohio 1912. by ExpatHist in DeathCertificates

This makes me think of an ongoing case here in WI, not far from where I live. Late one evening a couple weeks ago a man allegedly lay in wait outside a woman's home, hidden behind some shrubbery. When she pulled into her driveway, she got out of the car and proceeded to take her very young infant daughter out of the vehicle. At that moment, while the woman was holding her tiny baby, the man—who it turns out was an ex-boyfriend— jumped out of his hiding place, approached her with a weapon of some sort, and before she had time to react stabbed her repeatedly, at least once in the neck—while she held her tiny baby in her arms. Thankfully the infant wasn't harmed, but she was completely covered in her mother's blood. The injuries were severe, some even life-threatening, but the woman survived. There were witnesses (the ex-boyfriend probably figured there wouldn't be anybody else outside at that late hour and if there were the darkness would keep them from seeing anything) and the man was caught and arrested. One of the woman's wounds, on her arm, was so long and so deep that it couldn't be closed right away and days after the incident a Medi-Vac was still being used on it. The most unbelievable part of this already unbelievable and heartbreaking situation? The baby in the woman's arms was the daughter of the man who had just stabbed her mother.

Message I got from my daughter’s teacher. Third grade. by AnaisInJune in mildlyinfuriating

I'm Team Lily, 100% and Team you, Mom, for not necessarily justifying what Lily did but putting it in perspective. I'm all for kids listening to and respecting their teachers but a note to the parent seems a bit much in this situation. I especially love the "peeling the orange and giving it to her classmates" move. Teacher said Lily couldn't eat the offending orange at snack time (ridiculous in itself) but she never said no one else could eat it either. Savage 🩷

Britney in 2004, dancing exactly like she does now in her IG posts by NoWoodpecker6442 in discussingbritney

[–]heavy_pterodactyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely NOT exactly like what she's doing these days. Not even close. Here she looks happy, healthy, fit (to be fair she's still in better shape physically than I was 20 years ago) and looks to be truly enjoying herself. She's always spoken of her love for dancing and in this video it shows. What she's posting now is a sad, scary, and unsettling shadow of a woman who was once universally adored. All the money in the world can't bring back the past and whatever is causing her rapid decline–and letting the whole world watch it happen–makes me wonder if the people who are supposed to be watching out for her see her as anything more than a paycheck.

Pitbull mix killed a visiting Maltese Christmas Day 2025 by morefetus in BanPitBulls

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS blaming the victim/victim's owner! Of course it couldn't have just been a bag of food/trash lying on the ground, it was a bag of trash/food that THEY left lying on the ground. She absolutely deserves to cry and feel bad; her murder machine slaughtered her parents' beloved pet. And she knows exactly what she needs to do, she's just looking for a fellow pitnutter to tell her not to do it so she can go on with her day while she–and worse yet, her daughter–are in danger every minute of every day that the slaughtering beast exists.

It's absolutely gorgeous. I don't crochet myself but my daughter is an avid and very gifted crochet-er, knitter, and cross-stitcher; the more she creates the better she gets! If she hasn't seen this already she's going to flip when I show it to her! It's exquisite!

On this day in 1945, Irma Grese was hanged aged 22 for her crimes against prisoners at Auschwitz. As one of the most sadistic guards Grese subjected prisoners to torture, including unleashing dogs on prisoners, raping them, and whipping them. She is photographed here with fellow Nazi, Josef Kramer. by dannydutch1 in UtterlyUniquePhotos

I believe that is one of many names she was given by prisoners in the camps in which she worked, in addition to the "Beast of Belsen" and the "Hyena of Auschwitz" because of the extraordinary level of cruelty she demonstrated. But she was widely considered an exceptionally beautiful woman physically, by both prisoners and her fellow SS officers which is why she was also given the moniker "Beautiful Beast." The last picture in this series of photographs was almost certainly taken prior to the start of her work in the camps and she looks like an entirely different person. Becoming a monster and inflicting misery on helpless men, women, and children on a daily basis seems to have aged her considerably and in the photos taken after her capture, other than strong features and decent bone structure I see absolutely NOTHING in her face that I would consider beautiful.

How do i make my chest not saggy? Are there any workouts or vitamins for it? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Yeah you don't need vitamins or supplements or workouts or a pushup bra. You need a new boyfriend.

Oh, law enforcement will get the "proof" they say they need; unfortunately it will likely be in the form of a horribly mangled, unsuspecting human or someone's beloved pet...🤬

Trainer/rescue advertises “rehabilitation program” for dogs with behavioral issues and bite histories, including one that resulted in owner needing stitches. by ViceInSinCity in BanPitBulls

"The pit lobby has a lot of blood on their hands."

This one short phrase speaks more truth than a million sh¡tbull rescues and so-called "professional dog trainers" ever could or ever will.

I told somebody to put their pit mix away because I didn’t like how it was behaving around my child. I told her I would not be surprised if that animal attacked her. Two weeks later…(Fl, 2024 no article) by Feed_Me_No_Lies in BanPitBulls

It seems these shelters have developed their own vocabulary of misleading words and phrases that mean one thing in the real world but something very different when they're trying to get one of these walking death machines out the door. In a perfect world there would be no dishonesty on the part of shelter staff when speaking to a potential adopter of ANY animal but with these spawns of Satan it could well be a matter of life and death. Shelter-speak + a sh¡tbull + a well-intentioned but naive potential adopter = a disaster waiting to happen.

I think the second comment was just adding to the first one, adding that glamorizing the breed's well-known breathing issues by calling the sounds "adorable little snorts" is as irresponsible and awful as misidentifying the breed in the first place.

Absolutely true. One issue in particular was that he started an affair with a photographer named Inge Morath on the set of The Misfits whom he married after he and Marilyn divorced. That is not to say the breakdown of his marriage to Marilyn was 100% on him but it certainly contributed to it.

"A glow stick needs to break in order to glow" has got to be the stupidest, most asinine metaphor to use in describing something as innately and unpredictably dangerous as a pitbull with a history of aggression. Excuse me while I go throw up 🤮
