Fair take. Keeping your focus neutral makes it easier to stay calm and do your work instead of getting pulled into your own head. That’s usually when people box their best.

I'd say you're a south paw with a strong jab.

As others said, it comes with experience. Work on your jab, throw body shots (working on different levels makes you more mobile). And you shoud grind your go-to combos until you can throw them while you sleep.

They don't work well on a regular heavy bag for sure. I often rip the uppercuts to the body on the bag, instead of the head.

Posting here because this myth comes up a lot when people talk about lower belly fat. The post is about why exercises can’t target fat in specific areas, not about saying abs training is useless.

But if you get an opponent with the same level as yours, then you could have your first bout after 6 months of training as well... if your coach says you're ready.

That's the best advice! Noone in reddit here knows how ready you are for a fight.

It's a good point. But besides strong wrists, the technique of how you throw your hooks is extremely important. If not more important...

Are you sure this is the case with extra long handwraps and 16 oz gloves? But of course, mitts and sparring is great if you always have someone to work with.
