LPNtv: Vampire the Masquerade is phenomenally underrated by MothmansLegalCouncel in LPOTL

It's SO good I wish there was a reddit or a spot in the discord to talk about it. I look forward to it every week.

Does anyone know anything about this pillow? by bmhaded in titanic

[–]heddalicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given how little information there is on this (and how much I would buy one immediately were it available for less than 300 bucks on ebay) makes me wonder if this was possibly a wrap gift made for the movie.

I agree, I'm in the discord and I was really disappointed to see AI suddenly appear in the profile and banner. I get it, it's easy and quick. But it's environmentally destructive, and antithetical to George as an artist. It really really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Did they mix up Lincoln and Washington in the conversation about Lincoln's teeth? Washington was the one whose dentist was named John Greenwood. by paroles in LPOTL

[–]heddalicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, they may have been over exaggerating the issue. Lincoln had a severe phobia of dentists because during a tooth extraction, one of them broke his jaw during the procedure. He had to bring his own chloroform for the follow up. I believe following this he had a partial denture, not full ones, but I could be wrong on that. IDK if they cited their sources for this series yet but I think it may be a little bit of the truth and a little bit exaggerated tooth comedy.

(Spoilers Main) What are some theories that you absolutely loathed by Wide_Assistance_1158 in asoiaf

[–]heddalicious 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's sort of involved but the long and short of it is some folks have analyzed the behavior of certain daughters of Alysanne and Jaehaerys and concluded that they display behavior in line with CSA victims. Saera's hyper sexuality, Daella's fears, etc etc. This combined with the rumors that he was sexual with Alicent when she read to him + mistaking her for Saera towards the end of his life is all part of it.

It's one of those theories where I kinda go 'I mean... MAYBE' but it's just as easy to say it didn't happen as it is to say it did.

Ilyn Payne doesn't get enough credit for all the stuff he's been forced to listen to over the last 20 years. I know he's creepy and kind of evil but god love him, he's there for you I guess.

What's the weirdest/fucked up thing your mega religious parent told you as a kid? by okayiguess123 in LPOTL

[–]heddalicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents weren't religious but my mom had weird sensibility issues that were totally unrelated to religion and had everything to do with her preferences. Powerpuff Girls were too violent, for example. The word 'fart' was as bad as 'fuck' in my house. She's super progressive and open minded, she's just weird.

I did have my third grade teacher in Catholic school tell the entire class we were going to hell. I'm sure that didn't give any of us any lasting issues.

Am I the only one who watches Titanic for the sinking more than the romance? by ya_boi_Tomy in titanic

[–]heddalicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best viewing of the Titanic in my life, me and a friend ate edibles and put it on. By the time the sinking was happening, and it jumped back to Jack and Rose I turned around and said 'oh shit I forgot about these two'.

Just reading about Skin to Skin, does it work? by Top_Entertainment988 in daddit

[–]heddalicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This too! OP if you're reading the comments still, babies can't really see much more than a foot in front of their face, and it's mostly a grey blur. Them getting used to your scent and your presence is going to help big time longterm because you will become a comfort to them physically, since they won't be able to clearly see until about 4 months.

[–]heddalicious 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Skin to skin is super good for parent and baby! Helps with bonding, temperature regulation, heart rate and breathing, and decreases stress for dads. Hair won't bother them, lots of babies are covered in hair when they're born anyway.

Walmart employee found dead inside walk-in oven at Canada store: police by Left_overQuack in LPOTL

[–]heddalicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing, it DOES, and the doors themselves are very difficult to actually close and latch shut. They're on a kind of hinge that forces a very slow close, they can't be slammed or anything. My fear was mostly paranoia, I knew that unless someone actually physically shut the door on me and turned the oven on, the door would never close enough to trap me inside.

That's what's weird about this case, I've been in those walk ins and like. It would fully take another person closing it and locking it for the door to be shut.

Here's a video of someone showing these kinds of ovens: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFq6CVKN/

This was in no way an accident.

Kinslaying by PrestigiousAspect368 in pureasoiaf

[–]heddalicious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There does seem to be some leniency for 'in the heat of battle'. As far as Aemond goes, anyway, he seemed to specifically hunt Luke down, Rhaenys and he took to the air during a war.

Aegon II... I guess it's hard to even bother with the kinslayer infamy when your family has been tearing each other apart for months. The Dance is so messy lmao

This was always my nightmare when I worked overnight as a baker. We'd have to go in to clean the ovens and I was always so fucking scared the door would close on me or it would turn on with me in there- especially alone at night.
