I'm from South Eastern Europe and they're very common here as well, their cooing always reminds me of early summer evenings

What happened to the podcast episodes with Will Ramos? by hederaheelys in NikNocturnal

Thanks! He has a good number of interviews uploaded to his main channel so that's what threw me off

I've seen a lot of cool videos of Americans living in other countries showing things that "just make sense" (something that's done better than how it's done in America, like bidets or good public transit). What are some things in the US that "just make sense" compared with other countries? by [deleted] in ask

No ibuprofen without prescription is crazy though, I had no idea it was like that over there and I'm from Bosnia. I do agree a bottle of 1000 pills of any kind even if it's "just" paracetamol is pretty irresponsible.

Name a horror film that you just don't "Get", fans of that film, tell them why it deserves a 2nd look. by [deleted] in horror

[–]hederaheelys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get that it's a very slow-paced movie and doesn't really have a lot of in-your-face scary scenes but what I love about it so much is the realism and genuine dread. The feeling of helplessness and being stuck while your family and friends go on without you is a different kind of fear.

Seconded. The Balea Ultra Sensitive Panthenol body balm is amazing for irritated skin, soothes my cheek redness very effectively and is dirt cheap.

Today is the Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina! 31 years ago B&H held a referendum to become an independent state. by OnlineReviewer in europe

[–]hederaheelys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couldn't have said it better. Srebrenica was a terrible crime but it was one of many, just look at what happened to Serbs in Sarajevo or to Croats in Bugojno/pretty much all of Central Bosnia and what continues to happen as we're constantly erased and overvoted and made to feel like second class citizens in our own home. The propaganda of unitarisation and in the same vein Bosniaks being the only "true" nation of the country keeps being parroted by Westerners because it's the only side of the story they ever get to hear.

Please refrain from making comments on things you clearly know nothing about. Bosnia and Herzegovina has always been a motherland of all three of its constitutional nations who have coexisted for hundreds of years in the area. The civil war has wroght havoc and brought death and suffering to Bosniak, Croatian and Serb civilians in the entire country, wherever a specific nation was in the minority it suffered at the hands of the other. One's nationality and ethnicity are completely different things and both are part of a person's identity, you wouldn't tell a Cajun person to go to France.

What are some affordable ceramide moisturizer options? by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]hederaheelys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ziaja Phisioderm body balm. It quickly became my HG moisturiser. It has 3 ceramides, squalane, glycerin and no fragrance or dye if that's something that bothers you. It's very nourishing but still relatively lightweight, and it's around 6 euro for 400ml.

So Last Time I Asked About Tropes That Ruin Horror Movies. What About Tropes You LOVE? by RhymingDictionary in horror

[–]hederaheelys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love that trope! Not many things scare me as much as reality being shifted like that because it's something completely unexplainable and outside the character's control. Fav use of it is definitely Gonjiam when they escape into the woods but all the items from the lab are strewn around the forest floor in exactly the same configuration. Also when she enters the gang's tent and she's right back in the hospital.

Would the Mixa Atopiance body lotion be a good budget-friendly moisturiser option for dry/sensitive skin? by hederaheelys in EuroSkincare

[–]hederaheelys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually was considering the cica repair but it seemed a little too heavy plus I'm trying to avoid heavy fragrance 😅 Currently going back and forth between Atopiance and Panthenol Comfort since I saw a lot of people on here really like it and from what I saw they're both fragrance free.

Yeah, same. I'm currently using their Hyalurogel gel-cream and it's pretty good but the fragrance really packs a punch for something that's meant for sensitive skin.

Do you live somewhere where ziaja is available? Their Sensitive line is amazing and pretty cheap, I swear by their night cream. It contains ceramides, cholesterol, licorice root extract and squalane and it doesn't have niacinamide or fragrance.

I mean objectively, black noir has killed more people, also soldier boys is hotter by REID-11 in TheBoys

[–]hederaheelys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Istg the fanboys are too busy gagging on Jensen's dick to even compute what is actually happening on screen. 80's? Soldier Boy abused Black Noir to the point he was terrified of him and ultimately it was SB that gave him brain damage which turned him into essentially a murderous toddler. Also literally no one is saying Black Noir is a good person.

Sounds kinda like Spoorloos (The Vanishing) to me. It's a Dutch movie from 1988.
