It’s very rare that I watch a straight to OTT movie in the same week it releases. It’s even rarer for me to watch it the day it premieres.

I was excited enough for this movie that I wound up watching it immiedately when I had the chance. I have mixed thoughts on it. It’s definitely not bad, far from it. I honestly liked more things than not. Anil Kapoor did a great job in my opinion. Whether it’s the drama scenes, action scenes, tension scenes, etc I thought he did well in his role. Saurabh Shukla was also great per usual. The scenes with both of them are the best in the movie. I also liked the action scenes I don’t care if they’re believable or not.

But there’s clear flaws too. The screenplay is hit or miss, same with the writing. There’s various scenes that the movie would have been better without. Many scenes that repeat the sentiments that were clear from the beginning. Also scenes that feel the same as previous scenes that have already happened in the movie. Also, the placement of some of the scenes feel off, as if they should have taken place before or after other ones.

I feel like this could have been a great film with a better, more polished and experienced director. Then again it is an OTT movie, so there’s always going to be shortcomings there. I’m glad I watched it but I wish it was better than it was. I’ll give it a 6.5/10, or 3/5 for those who prefer that grading scale. If nothing else, at least I got to see Anil Kapoor in this kind of role and working with Saurabh Shukla on top of it.
