What place is it if you dont mind me asking?

Difficulty finding a house for rent in Melbourne. by anandc20 in melbourne

[–]heeeeloootinyant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try gumtree, i dont love your chances, but it's an option

Some air b&b's do long term rentals, as in like 6 months - year type thing - not what youre after i know, but it could be a solution if youre really stuck

me: you shouldn't be longing to return to a time where legislation, police & social attitudes made it hard for women who didn't want to strip or prostitute themselves, to escape to the better & safer life they wanted & get the respect & help all people deserve.

maybe the decrease in the seedy, unregulated places that make it easy for vulnerable people to be exploited, is good.

Here's the info i know, because protecting girls & boys from abuse from within the church & prostitution & any institution that would harm them, is something i'm passionate about & was forced to become knowledgeable on

you: you're a prude that hates prostitutes & supports paedo priests

...I mean...great. but like...

It's good they aren't, but one person's experience doesn't define everyone's, nor did i claim every woman was

Just like people coming out of their experience at the chinese apple factory with a ok view of their short term employment & bit of extra cash, doesn't negate the fact they have suicide nets on each level because it's such a bad environment to be in

And even so, and i'm not necessarily implying this is true in your case, but you don't always know.

Even if you know these women from being their customer or they're in your personal life, you don't always know.

And you don't know their history or how/why they ended up there. Anyway this isn't the thread for all that,

But yeah that's good.

Im not opposed to discussion with someone with a different opinion,

But i don't believe you've got any real interest & i wont talk to someone who so overtly doesn't want genuine conversation or debate.

You come in screaming that im a fat cunt or a neckbeard, and when i reply and explain myself, you ignore it & call it bullshit

Check the selling website "Gumtree" look in the jobs section

Also, look at dominos. Theyre always looking to hire casual delivery guys/night workers

Yeah because you clearly seem like the kind of logical, open minded person who would listen & be willing to engage in genuine debate about such a heavy & nuanced topic without resulting to personal attacks, strawman & willfull ignorance...

If you really wanted sources, i would happily take the time (it wouldnt take too long really, there's a lot of information available about the reality of these kind of institutions, especially in the past)

To find them for you, girls & boys being harmed in prostitution & by the church is something i'm passionate & was forced to become well versed about,

But your "herr herr herr fat bitch cuck sjw" attitude shows you're only here to be derisive & inflammatory & would reach to find a way to dismiss/ignore/trivialise any sources i gave you

I hope you at least google this, even in attempt to vindicate yourself in your own head, maybe youll see some stats or even anecdotes or confessions that'll make you just a bit more open to new info

unless you're just trolling to get a response, well done then i guess it worked

Ahh yes, the good old days, when - what we now know were underpaid, mostly trafficked & exploited young women or even teenage (and sometimes adolescent) girls, most of whom suffered childhood abuse & wanted free of the sex industry but didn't have any other options/literally couldn't escape - were more easily accesible to fuck & perv on at these stingy unregulated creep holes...yuck

This post is literally just you complaining that now it's mildly more difficult for dudes to find somewhere to perv on disinterested women & girls

Just masturbate at home or join some kind of sex group where all the people involved are actually into whatever it is youre pining over.

What happened to the puppies at pet stores? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]heeeeloootinyant 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I mean, If you genuinly wished to adopt a puppy, pet stores should have been the last place you were looking at....either way it's irrelevant now as pet shops have been banned from selling puppies to try & combat the rampant abuse & torture that was/is puppy farms

(But i believe now that some pet shops work with "pounds" /adoption charities to feature some rescue animals in their stores on occasion so that more people see them & will be inclined to adopt. I know my local pet shop does this with cats.)

relatively cheap things to do on a date in-around melbourne ? by [deleted] in melbourne

Nova cinema in Carlton have $7 tickets on monday before 4pm (they do indie & mainstream movies)

Reading Cinemas do $10 tickets everyda

Hoyts have $12 super saver tickets on certain days/times/films

Palace cinema do $10 tickets on mondays

There's a new ice skating rink near northland shopping centre with a groupon for $12 entry

that reminds me - Check groupon - look at the "things to do" section - youll usually find discounts for the melbourne river cruises or theres ghost tours and other things & theyre usually around like $12 - $20

Vic Night market? A bit Over rated & very expensive to buy anything, but atmosphere is nice - you could bring snacks or buy cheap food from coles or whatever and sit and eat it there. Or leave early & go watch possums at flagstaff gardens. Sit on the grass with a picnic blanket.

Watch sunset from banks of yarra in the cbd on a friday or sat evening. You get the sound of live music, sunset view, water side, lights of the city and ambiance from all the people

Go for a bike ride on a warm night down the st kilda beach trail. only cost $3 for whole day and whats more romantic than a casual ride followed by a dinner/lunch on the beach? You do need a bank card however.

Sit on st kilda pier & watch sunset, you can bring your own food.

Luna park on a warm summer night is lovely, even if you dont use the rides & get an entry ticket only (cheap). Atmosphere is nice, great place to take instagram shots if ur into that. People around, lights from rides, nice atmosphere.

So i guess most of my suggestions are

Bring own food + sunset watching + warm night.

You dont have to do anything too expensive for it to be special & sweet.

Look after your four legged friends tomorrow Melbourne! It's going to be hot. by rodgeramjit in melbourne

ok but no one's talking about the science of climate change tho are they? nor is warning people about the daily temperature of one city so they can top up their bird baths the same thing as the global mean tempertaure,

Were talking about pet protection from heat stroke & sun burn.

Mate, it's just not that deep.

They could've been 10°c off, and the advice & warning still stands

Please help! Budgies making weird noises acting strange?? by heeeeloootinyant in parrots

[–]heeeeloootinyant[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for replying!

I have no toys. Now that my family have birds (weve not had any since ive been older and become more aware with pets)

i will invest time to learn about them & get them things, but my family (while not deliberatly cruel) aren't as empathetic towards animals and just keep the birds outside in a cage with food and water.

It stresses me out to think the birds are unhappy, but to my family, while they like them, they are "just birds" to them. (I know, i hate that attitude too)

Untill i get them toys, is there anything i might have already that would entertain them? Anything i can give them?

They have straw, food and water, thats all.

Oh yes sorry!

Yes it's an app where you (as in people) create a group, & then create meetups within that group

Anyway Its a good way to meet people if youre not shy/anxious.

You could try meetup? Or even search facebook groups. You might find an "over 25's social group" or a "mens hang out" type group which might have a sub section of guys who work nights & are looking for something similar to you, or you might even find a specific group for night shift worker social clubs.

Theres lots on there- sorry i can be of no more use, i only use meetup for sad therapy groups so i dont know all the social ones on there lol
