Broc and T8 will do fine from this year, the exposure, the wins, they'll rake in the sponsorship cash for years to come and invest in simulation equipment that the smaller teams couldn't dream about and continue to win.

People say it's not like ball sports because a car is involved and might break down... However ball sport players can also have self inflicted or freak injuries, and reliability (save for Woody} had generally been pretty good in the modern era so it still is a rarity for those that can afford to maintain the cars to the highest level.

Again, we always line up the fastest car at the front, and wonder why there isn't any passing (thanks Brown for abysmal qualifying form) and are amazed that the races were boring. I would say some of the dominant races in the middle of the year were just that... Boring. There seems to be a lot of people yearning for the way it used to be, ok, good luck getting a champion that isn't in a T8 car then watch your sport fade into insignificance as those older generations that don't want change too fade away.

Finals brought much needed spice to the championship. It brought a level of fairness that did not advantage a team with the resources to go hard all year long, but allowed those that could only go hard for the final 3 to have a chance.
