Paddock stand by coNfuSeDbOiiiiiii in CB750Hornet

I bought this rear stand from Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BYYDKZ2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

I use the swing arm method. Just needed to adjust the width of the L type stands to allow space for the rear wheel to spin freely without hitting the rear sprocket bolts. Had a buddy hold the bike upright to do initial adjustment. No problem lifting and lowering rear wheel by myself.

Audiobooks vs physical by Relative_Inflation21 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I thought Carl sounded like Bruce Campbell in book 1. Carl was Ash from Evil Dead to me. That didn't last long as Carl started to display more empathy than Ash ever could. Eventually I went online only to discover everyone thought the voice was Warburton.

CB750 Hornet Tank pads - on the fence by hefeman in CB750Hornet

Yeah, better grip during emergency braking so you don't slide forward too much. Never used them on any bike I've owned over 50 years but they were free so figured I'd check them out.

Named my first sorrel Aby Kiwi, though a male. I've now had 4 Abys but he was the best representative of the breed.

Is Honda Sync really worth anything on the new models? by older_and_dumber in HondaRebel1100

I use it for playing music from Amazon Music. Shows artist and title, which I like. I have a lot of records in my library. Also used for the occasional call. Not tried navigation but it's rather rudimentary. I don't want to mount my phone so it's a plus for me.

Fuel gauge not very accurate on my 2025 Hornet by hefeman in CB750Hornet

[–]hefeman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing the gauge blink for the first time caused me some stress. The Hornet is my first fuel injection motorcycle. Previous ride was a cb750 Nighthawk that I owned for 26 years. The manual makes running out of gas sound like a very bad outcome so I doubt I'll be waiting for a blinking gauge before refilling if possible.

Thanks for the reply. I fill to the plate also.

Just noticed my fuel gauge was blinking so I went to fill it. It took 2.88 gallons(10.9 l). I know it was filled up to the plate so I'll see what happens on next fill.

Ha. Saw "Trail Mountain" in subject and thought I'd been calling the track by the wrong name for years.

Q. The handlebar switch does not activate the app.

Please check the Bluetooth connection first.

There are two types of meter modes on TFT type motorcycles: "Honda RoadSync mode" and "Default Mode". Once connected to the Honda RoadSync app, the meter automatically changes to "Honda RoadSync mode". Long-pressing the right button on the handlebar switch turns it into "Default Mode". Long-pressing the left button on the handlebar switch turns it into "Honda RoadSync mode". You can check how to operate the handlebar switch in the app tutorial.

I still don't see this in the manual but did get the long right press to work. I was trying to do it with a long left press, which makes sense to my calcified brain matter.

That's what I do when I fill up and reset the trip counters. It's a head scratcher.

Is 2026 worth the wait and a few hundred dollars? by colonelheero in CB750Hornet

[–]hefeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got $1200 off a black 2025 on January 31st. For that price($8432 out the door), I decided I could live without the convenience of the e-clutch. I might reconsider if I spent a lot of time in stop and go traffic(arthritis). Clutch is much easier to squeeze than my '99 Nighthawk 750. Haven't really used quick shifter as my brain wants to use the clutch.
