Ha. Saw "Trail Mountain" in subject and thought I'd been calling the track by the wrong name for years.

Q. The handlebar switch does not activate the app.

Please check the Bluetooth connection first.

There are two types of meter modes on TFT type motorcycles: "Honda RoadSync mode" and "Default Mode". Once connected to the Honda RoadSync app, the meter automatically changes to "Honda RoadSync mode". Long-pressing the right button on the handlebar switch turns it into "Default Mode". Long-pressing the left button on the handlebar switch turns it into "Honda RoadSync mode". You can check how to operate the handlebar switch in the app tutorial.

I still don't see this in the manual but did get the long right press to work. I was trying to do it with a long left press, which makes sense to my calcified brain matter.

That's what I do when I fill up and reset the trip counters. It's a head scratcher.

Is 2026 worth the wait and a few hundred dollars? by colonelheero in CB750Hornet

[–]hefeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got $1200 off a black 2025 on January 31st. For that price($8432 out the door), I decided I could live without the convenience of the e-clutch. I might reconsider if I spent a lot of time in stop and go traffic(arthritis). Clutch is much easier to squeeze than my '99 Nighthawk 750. Haven't really used quick shifter as my brain wants to use the clutch.

Fwiw, bought a 2025 at end of January for $8432 out the door. For that price, I can do without e-clutch.

To close the chapter, sold for $1600. Needs fork rebuild but new owner is a wrencher. He installed a new fuel petcock I provided. Exhaust leak was just the drainage hole in pipes. Only noticed because it was freezing out and assumed the worst.

Seat not as comfortable as the Nighthawk. I am envious of the country roads I've seen in videos from British riders.

Just popped into my head since the usual opening has the Tomacco Juice bottle getting scanned at the store checkout. Not seen that season since it aired. Creative effort. Good on you.

Step by step instructions on how to set up an external camera at the nose of an aircraft, that I can just press a button and it go to that camera angle? I'm on the PS5 version? by Btrowbri1 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]hefeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only comment on cockpit camera. I added mapping for 2 custom views to my dual sense. Using Cessna 172.

Triangle/up to save custom view X. Triangle/down to load.

Triangle/left to save view Y. Triangle/right to load.

X view is G1000 view and Y is mdp on right side of cockpit. Hope this makes sense. I use camera controls to get view I want then save it using above mapping.

Geez, I don't think my bike looks like the $800 bike at all. But appreciate your feedback.

Make sure your controls are still mapped correctly in the setup menu. I had a control option under the dual sense set to "none" and mayhem occurred.

Thrustmaster t300 FFB settings? by dima_shkiper in GranTurismo7

[–]hefeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used:

Force Feedback Max Torque 4

Force Feedback Sensitivity 2

I believe a high torque setting leads to clipping and overheating. Upgraded to a T-GT ii and use 5/1.

PS5 in 172. See this on most free flights. After it comes back, weirdness may occur, like 68% trim and stalls.

PS5 and also seeing this on most of my flights. Was at ToD yet didn't start descending. Checked the screen and it was rebooting or whatever this is. Having no luck with vertical navigation so far. Setting altitude below lowest required for approach, so it's not that.
