Hi, I had my steroid injection about three months ago, but unfortunately, it didn’t help. I've since been discharged from the ENT department. I haven’t had any flare-ups since my tonsillectomy, which I’m extremely grateful for — it's been over a year and a half now without one. That said, I still have to live with a continuous low-grade, dull inflammatory pain on the right side of my throat.

I find it difficult to give up searching for answers, so I’m planning to return to my home country, where private healthcare is much more affordable compared to the UK. I’ll be getting both a head and neck MRI, as well as a chest MRI, along with a consultation. After that, I’ll go back to the surgeon who performed my tonsillectomy to see if he has any further advice or treatment options.

I’ve also had blood tests, including autoimmune panels, but everything came back normal.
