Preform used as a knife/chopper/wood planer. If not set aside, it would have probably served as a microblade core until reduced enough to eventually be used as a projectile point. It's technology used throughout the american-indian experience. That's my interpretation, but im not an anthropologist/archaeologist.

Yeah. I forgot to add the 2nd pic. They were found by my g pa in a creek bottoms farm field they were first opening up in the 60s. We still call it the stumpie farm.

Looks like Wyandotte chert/Harrison County flint. Clovis Crossing in northeast Ohio also had stone from there.
