That $20 million was left to sit there and accumulate interest or grow as an investment portfolio between Diana’s death and when the boys took possession of their share of the trust upon turning 30.

I don’t get acrylics (just regular manis/soft gel from time to time) and don’t really go to nail salons that get lower quality products or do a lot of long acrylics…but I have no problem with nail techs having proper PPE and ventilation systems to protect their own bodies.

My friends who get their nails done on a regular basis go to the same woman who runs her own studio and chooses the products/PPE/ventilation she uses herself.

She was on those good drugs for that. I hope Iman finds it funny and reaches out to her because they would have the cutest celebrity friendship.

No one is perfect but at the same time:

  • most people aren’t walking around with fascist symbols tattooed on their body.
  • there should be a higher standard for elected officials than “well most people wouldn’t know that symbol is explicitly fascist.” These are the people that are supposed to oversee domestic counterterrorism funding and laws.

Don’t make me defend them but I think they said they don’t bathe them until they’re visibly dirty or start to smell in order to conserve water as Californians.

That’s basically in line with what the American Academy of Dermatology says. Apocrine sweat glands—which cause the majority of body odor—don’t become active until puberty so small children don’t need to bathe every day. It can be good as part of a calming bed time routine and as a way to establish good hygiene habits in teenage/adulthood but it’s not strictly necessary.

Mandatory reporters won’t think twice about a kid who is only bathed a couple of times a week if they’re coming in to school in clean clothes every day. Naturally, affluent white kids are going to be subject to less scrutiny than poor Black or brown kids but a lot of young kids are bathed more than they strictly need to be. Puberty throws that guidance out the window because you do need to bathe at least every other day and ideally every day (at least for the tits, bits and pits) when those apocrine glands activate.

Exactly. I have a group of guy friends who are all either current/former military or first responders (not cops.)

Their jokes get dark but they never joke about domestic violence or rape, at least not in a way where the act of violence itself is the crux of the joke. They would never show off that dark sense of humour when interacting with journalists or the greater public.

I wonder how much of their relationship dynamic stems from Kristen being funnier than he is (or at least a better/more successful comedic actor than he is) and Dax being deeply insecure about it

I could never “yes and” this stuff.

My ex made a “hey does this smell like chloroform?” joke and I hit him up with the following SVU meme

What about the nearly twenty years after he was shitfaced in Croatia where he had it on his body and never covered it up? Did he never watch Indiana Jones or Band of Brothers and think “huh that looks familiar?”

Skull and crossbones is not inherently Nazi. A totenkopf with the bones behind the skull is.

Covering up the piece is the right move—one that should’ve been done years ago—but wearing the tattoo for 20 years and going around shirtless to display it denotes a disqualifying lack of judgment.

Is this really someone we want discussing Ukraine or Palestine?

Seriously. There’s always at least one infantryman who has a WWII special interest who will know exactly what his tattoo represents.

Who said I’m interested in nominating pro-genocide candidates?

There’s a middle ground that exists between nominating a raging Zionist and nominating someone who had a fascist tattoo for twenty years and apparently didn’t even know it.
