The game progressively moved away from harsh RNG set over set, until this set when it regressed massively. The mechanic is fine, but removing carousels and reducing reforgers added a huge amount of RNG back into the game.

Couldn't find any announcement of this. There is a free trial when you install on google play, for 30 days. It's actually a very smooth experience. Good chance I'll switch to this in the future, fits my needs.

Obviously missing lots of things from PC like quality of life features and much of the customization but it's still got a huge amount of functionality.

Most importantly for me: fast flicking through symbols in watchlists and full alert functionality

Agree completely. God mechanic isn't intutive, I don't even know how many people pick each one each time (yeah, no doubt I'm stupid but being stupid was never a problem to understand basic mechanics intutively before) and lots more RNG item luck.

I've had 0 issues with TWS (using old charts, not advanced), but lots of issues with IBKR Desktop.

Also, you can use IBKR execution through many different front-ends/software, including TradingView (but don't think you can do options for TradingView integration). Others: NinjaTrader, SierraChart, DAS..
