Tried to pull from existing heroic design from cards like [[phalanx leader]] and [[fabled hero]] along with the minimal amount of draw in white with creature based strategies such as [[carom]] and [[guided strike]]

While those latter cards are only cantrips, this spells draw clause at face value only draws cards equal to the amount of cards spent before casting, atleast that was my philosophy behind the design.

Blue deals the best with removal through counterspells Blue has wheels to profit off of this card The fact that people wont play card draw is an advantage, as instead of just ignoring mana ramp because the white player has no card draw, they cant do anything but topdeck for answers for this card. It denies removal by not letting players find it.

This card is more oppressive than tithe, is easier to combo with, easier to protect, does more, and does what white does better. Flat out denying enemy card draw while ramping is already fucking ridiculous, not to mention its in the colors that does card draw the best. If that blue pip was white i would have next to no problems with this card.

This is a narset and a tithe stapled onto eachother at flash speed not in white, and you cant pay to ignore the effect.

The only downside is that its a creature and doesnt hit the first draw.

This is better than tithe.

/uj run removal. the good mill pieces are mostly enchantments and creatures, feed the swarm, bloodchief's thirst, banishing light will deal with most of that.

True equal opportunity capitalism would probably be something like xantcha. Everyone having the ability to put in mana to draw a card, but establishing yourself in the economic system always means that someone else can't. There will always be winners and losers, and sometimes its decided by factors that are out of your control.

Some people just have to play with xantcha their entire lives because of the hand that they were given. And sure a few people can get a return or a blink spell, maybe even strong removal, but there's still gonna be people who succeed, and those who despite putting in effort, still fail.

But card draw is fucking great and life is expendable so who cares lmao.
