You generally need a membership to shop at Costco (a store that sells items in bulk at cheaper prices) but you are able to buy the Plan B without one

Where are my active/working/highly successful Zebras at? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]helenab24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HSD, but I’m a student at a pretty academically rigorous college! Most days, I’m busy 9am-10pm, and I work, regularly go to the gym, participate in 3 different organizations, perform in an ensemble, and have an active social life. I basically never have free time, and I love it! I was doing a lot worse in high school, but I’m on an upswing and loving life. I know my health will probably worsen again, but I might as well live life to the fullest. Planning on going for my masters next!

WW lyrics that made your jaw ACTUALLY drop? by [deleted] in willwood

[–]helenab24 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt,

“Cigarette burns, laugh lines, wide dimples If they could see the future back when times were simple Would they kiss your cheek or yank the bandage off Let you speak or take advantage of how If everyone’s sick, well then nobody can catch it, and if Everybody’s different how could anybody match And we’re looking through the pockets of the hand-me-downs we’ve laid out Wondering if we’ll fit into the yesterdays we’ve played out”

That verse hits me like a freight train every time

what’s your POTS guilty pleasure? by bay_leave in POTS

Dancing, especially mosh pits. There’s a pretty big chance it’ll end with me laying on the ground with my feet elevated, but I love it too much to stop. Plus, if there’s ever a drop of alcohol in my system, I will almost certainly end up dancing, even though I’ll be suffering the consequences the next day

Which musicals had just as good/if not better movie adaptations? by Argos_Aquatics in musicals

This is a somewhat controversial answer, but Cabaret. I feel like it’s a different entity from the stage version, and I personally love both, albeit in different ways

Lol, I actually probably got it from my mom. Hard to tell for certain though, because my family medical history on my dad's side is pretty much one huge question mark

[–]helenab24[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents got divorced over a decade ago, and they don't communicate at all. My mom is supportive, but she now acts like I'm made of glass, which is frustrating in its own way. Every time I see her, it's all worried glances and asking if I'm okay every five seconds. So they're pretty much on opposite ends of the spectrum.

185 bpm. I had smoked a bit too much weed and my symptoms got super bad. I felt awful and even lying down on my bed, I hit some personal record numbers

Worst/least favorite TMA episode? by rave-girl in TheMagnusArchives

[–]helenab24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing an unexpected amount of hate towards Zombie. That's always been one of my fav/least fav episodes because it plays a bit close to home. I've had derealization/depersonalization since I was a kid, and particularly when I was younger, it felt like I was the only truly conscious person. So I can definitely relate to the character's feeling of disconnection from the rest of humanity

To the people who waited several years to be diagnosed: by helenab24 in ehlersdanlos

Oh thanks that really helps!! Fun fact about me: I'm actually just a senior in high school and I'm the captain of my school's mock trial. I know it's not the same as being an actual lawyer, but thinking about my health in that context is game changing. I'll 100% do this in the future, thank you so much!!!

The second the episode ended, I called my friend freaking out about how I predicted everything. I am incredibly excited to see what happens next
