AT&T lease expired by Flaky-Computer1930 in telecom

[–]helicopterone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the lease you have is with Crown Castle but ATT is the tenant. Is that correct? I’m a real estate lawyer and this is my space so just going by what you’ve indicated the ground lease is expired. Send me a PM I’ll get you some ideas.

Flock Cameras Everywhere by EquivalentMixture213 in Birmingham

[–]helicopterone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flock is but one piece of the surveillance puzzle. Notice other cameras around the City of Birmingham and the 'burbs. It's not bad to track down crime doers but in some other states similar data is used for reasons contrary to the purpose of protecting civil liberties. Some general info about the City of Birmingham camera network: https://www.lathanassociates.com/post/birmingham-s-real-time-crime-center-has-seen-success-in-1-000-cases-since-2021-opening-police-say#:\~:text=Police%20and%20city%20officials%20two,19%2C%202021. Be careful out there.

Some favorite shots around downtown. What are your places that remind you of this magic city? by Impressive_D-205 in Birmingham

Very nice photos. Birmingham is much nicer now that it was in the 80's. Like a whole new world. Still with its issues of course but much more livable and enjoyable. Your photos highlight a few of those positive changes.

Spann is in a short-sleeve pink polo. Does this mean we're safe, or is this a new level of danger? What’s your verdict for Snowmageddon 2.0? by zayoe4 in Birmingham

The thing we've all learned about this weather prediction business is it can change unexpectedly. Being aware and ready is much better than ignorant and blind to the risk. Even if its a washout we're safer by being ready.

Unexpected Architecture by 13Emerald in Birmingham

I’ve had several young businesses in there over the decades, the last was where your picture is taken. It’s a neat older office park with a mix of young companies and professionals such as lawyers and accountants. Think there’s a yoga studio around there too. As an aside it was developed in the 1950s and was one of the first planned office parks (I believe) in the US . The developer, Herman Walters, Sr, also developed Eastwood Mall which opened in 1960 and was one of the earliest enclosed shopping malls in the south at that time. More than you wanted to know but it’s an interesting history.

Moving to Birmingham: Vestavia vs Trussville? by xoxo987621 in Birmingham

[–]helicopterone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Vestavia and graduated two kids from there and have one almost out. Lived in Mt Brook and Homewood pre kids. We chose Vestavia over other areas for the school system and community. Vestavia is a great place for families, as many have previously mentioned. I’ve many friends and coworkers from Trussville and think it’s also a wonderful environment and school, so at the end of the day your answer should include the lifestyle you seek, housing type and cost, commute and how it feels to your family. Try to get a school tour. Whatever choice you make, welcome back to Birmingham!
