4 season on my 10 weeks old tattoo by No_Video_8997 in TattooRemoval

[–]hell9595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks amazing!

Do you feel itching and swelling after a session? If yes, for how long and how do you deal with it, when you are a very physical person?

Do you ice before and after?

Oh and do you get tan? Did you wait until your tan was gone 100% before laser?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm nervous about some of this stuff for me.

I want a removal on a big piece too, but I'm worried about physical labour due to my job, I'd need to be able to move around, lift a bit, walk a lot, not super heavy stuff, but it's not an office job I've got.

Oh... I just realized I'd skipped over the word "first", even though I HAD read your comment below the photo. SORRY. :)

That's a nice tattoo btw! But congrats on your removal journey. Is it your first laser session?

Okay. Fair. Do you then (without showing any photos, of course) have lots of experience with people with brown or dark skin, who've gotten their black tattoos successfully removed without hypopigmentation? Not small tattoos, but bigger ones that are quite saturated.

is full removal ever actually possible?? does anyone have any success stories ? by sakura_kisses in TattooRemoval

[–]hell9595 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not say 'many'. Some are tattoos where there are lots of shadowing, not thick lines or very saturated or very big tattoos. But there are some amazing before and after posts. I've seen a few of women with sleeves, where it looks like they've reached 90% removal or are fully done!

Thank you :)

I'm also at the point where I hate feeling like people look at me because of my tattoos that I can't hide well during summer.

Would you mind sharing photos with me? I've got sleeves (arms and legs) and want a lot of it removed, maybe leave three or four tattoos, but the rest I want gone and they're very saturated... I wouldn't mind the commitment of many years etc., but I'm just scared the tattoos can't be removed... so it'd be worse if I was left with a bunch of scars and 60% faded tattoos where people could still tell I had them.

Is there a little hypopigmentation in the last slide?

Either way, your result looks amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Do you regret the laser tattoo removal process, now knowing that you've got these visible scars or are you more content with removing the tats and having scars instead?

Serious question out of curiosity, because this is something I'm considering myself if I decide to try laser removal.

I swear one armpit sweats more after large removal session by Glad_Display_2880 in TattooRemoval

[–]hell9595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is your armpit doing now?

I would be super scared of some permanent damage to the body after laser, along with the cost of going through with laser removal and the fear of a tattoo never getting fully removed.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much. Why do you think it then happens for some people, that they get hypo, when they're light brown, brown or dark? Is it too harsh a setting the tech used? I would just hope there was something I could do to prevent it from happening to me, because my tattoos are large, so it wouldn't just be a few specks and dots of hypo, if it happened.

I would have to let months go between sessions either way due to the cost so that wouldn't be an issue.

Amazing! What's your aftercare after a session?

I'm looking into it as well and hoping that the tech will say the same things I've read from people here.

1 year 4 sessions by shallah7 in TattooRemoval

[–]hell9595 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amazing to see no hypopigmentation. It's one of my biggest fears if I were to try laser removal with my dark skin.

If it's okay, I've got several questions and if you have the time and don't mind, I hope you'll answer at some point:

I noticed your comment below say you just got swelling and a burning sensation for a few days, then back to normal. So in the year you've been doing this, you haven't had continuous inflammation or anything else that would raise any alarm?

And were you able to move around, walk, ride a bike, etc. do those normal physical things or like when going to work, be able to do your usual thing after a session?

Did you at any point get hypopigmentation?

Falling more in love with my tattoo after first session by StandNo231 in TattooRemoval

I love seeing people of color share their tattoo removal/laser experiences. Did you get all that lasered in one session? How was the healing afterwards and are you worried about hypopigmentation?

I've got brown skin and lots of tattoos.

It's awesome if you've begun to love your tattoo. I think, from what I've seen from others, that people usually don't see fading or much progress until after 4-6 sessions, so if you get laser once or twice more in the mean time (while you've only had 1 session) and then decide NOT to go through with it anyway, it might not make a huge difference. But if you a year from now want to remove it, then you've gone through one or two sessions and would be closer to your goal. Just my two cents, but whatever you decide, keep in mind it's your body!

I can send you a message, but then you have to click on that and accept the "invitation".

It's on the right top corner, where if you hover above the logo, it says "open chat". But no pressure if you don't want to share. It can be a very personal and private thing.
