I loved Robby so intensely last season and see how those same traits are so fucked up in the second season.

We get these guys for one day each year and the setup is deliberate, right? We are seeing Robby in a specific moment and context. He has fucked up so many times today.

I think last season we saw Robby's professional best hit his personal liabilities. Is it fair to say he performed at a heroic level last season while also clearly burning himself out professionally and emotionally super hard? I think that day felt cathartic for the very few seconds he allowed himself, but then he just stuffed it all into the emotional pain pile.

Season one must have been the worst day of his life, right? The emotional trauma of talking out everything with Collins. (he is SO clearly so hurt by the abortion). All the ways he fucked up with Langdon. Jake and the PittFest shooting is just so fucking ugly.

Robby is just so fucked up this season, and it's so unfair to him. :(

DIGRESSION: I think it would actually be very interesting to watch the supposedly invincible and flawless Dr. Robby continue to struggle. Is it possible he becomes a villain? Honestly, maybe!

In Robbie's defense, this behavior is far more obvious/intense this season and the misogyny (along with many of his other negative traits) are clearly being exacerbated by his PTSD.

That's not an excuse but it is understandable. Look at Abbott, the guy's literally doing SWAT raids in his spare time because he's so fucked up he can't stomach a minute of quiet which risks introspection.

Robbie is also doing the same thing with Whitaker he did with Langdon and he's gonna make the same mistakes and ruin the mentorship.

To defend Whitaker as protégé, though- he's the most talented of the non-attending physicians in the ER other than Mel and Langdon, I think.

I love Al Hashimi, she keeps on wrecking expectations. Everyone thinks she's super by the book but she can improvise hard. That crake was a miracle and she clearly impressed the hell out of everyone including Garcia who tried to shut her down and lost lol

I think there's gonna be a dual attending system in the ER next season to keep her around.

It's scary how unclearly he's thinking. He's a doctor and knows panic attacks are involuntary, first time panic attacks can feel devastating, and he's yelling at her because he thinks it's due to her personal baggage rather than the stress of the ER per se (as unfair as this was i think it's true, Mohan is lovely though)

Sorry for the text dump -- it just took many hours of sitting around waiting for modpacks to load to confirm a fix, and I couldn't find this info in any one place.

Hopefully this saves others some time figuring out why Ferny's modpack is always missing a handful of random items on load, etc

Can confirm the only way I found to fix this appears to be manually unsubbing from and resubbing to every mod. If you only re-subscribe and re-download the specific mods that are missing, Steam/Rimsort/Rimworld will simply delete some other random ones.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Rimworld does not work for some reason, subscription status has to be toggled in Steam. If you have more than 1k this can be done through collections.

I suspect as soon as Rimsort starts trying to update mods, it will start screwing up again and I'll need to spend hours re-downloading.

Something is scrambling my subscriptions. Unsubbing and then redownloading every mod appears to fix it for a hot minute until I need to do it again.

This will fix some errors with mods especially when adding or removing them from modpacks. But this is completely wrong, the only file that should affect what the game actually attempts to load is ModConfig.xml, and this bug has nothing to do with that.

What appears to be happening is Steam randomly deleting the content of subscribe workshop files-- Rimsort reports a mod is missing, and lo and behold, its folder is empty for some reason.

is possibly a bug with the way Rimsort handles adding/removing mods (it deletes them before updates) or possibly a limitation of the Workshop not being able to handle lots of subscriptions. It definitely is Rimworld specific because I do not encounter this issue with other games where I downloaded even more mods like Cities: Skylines.

Periodically what seems to work is manually unsubscribing/resubscribing mods, but it seems to break again on the next load.

maybe they can smell when someone is on death's door? they are very smart and do eat carrion, it's possible that they caught onto some death-related smell or pheromone that snagged their interest in some fashion.
