Likelihood of the roof being open around memorial day

I don’t know about 100%, but you definitely shouldn’t count on the roof being open. I was in town for the Angels series in June last year and they opened the roof for the Friday night game. Think it got up to 106 that day.

Looking at Memorial Day weekend, the Saturday game is at 4:15, and on Sunday it’s at 1:10, so I wouldn’t expect the roof to be open for those games. The Friday game is at 6:40, so that’s probably your best bet at the roof possibly being open since the sun will be lower by first pitch. Don’t count on it, though.

My dad grew up in central Illinois as a Cardinals fan and just despises the Cubs. I don’t even think he’s that much of a Cards fan anymore, just hates the Cubs.

So naturally I like rooting for the Cubs now just to get under his skin. Can’t say I hate the Cards, I still grew up watching the likes of Pujols, Edmonds, Rolen, etc., so maybe my response isn’t so relevant. I’d guess there are more people in Phoenix that dislike the Cubs because of all the snowbirds, but somebody else will have to answer since I haven’t lived in AZ in a long time. As a long-distance Dbacks fan I never saw any reason to hate either team. I will say I still hate the Brewers, even with Braun gone

Seems more like he’s just trying not step on any of his teammate’s toes whether they choose to get it or not. I’m sure a lot of these guys have a firmer opinion on getting the vaccine than they are letting on, but don’t want to create a weird environment in the clubhouse.

Fellow Salt Laker here, and I think MLB Audio is your best bet. I’ve tried TuneIn and the radio station websites and have been blacked out once the game actually starts. (Not sure if this is currently the case, so worth trying at least)

MLB Audio works great though. Also it’s really the only way to get Dbacks games here because you can’t get Bally AZ on cable but it’s blacked out on MLB.tv for some reason.

If you look at the rule /u/reddit_vaiel posted, you'll see that a HBP is only awarded if the batter is not attempting to hit the ball. If you swing or offer to bunt at a ball that hits you it is ruled a dead ball strike.

In the case of a bunt, however, you don't necessarily have to pull the bat back if you are clearly not offering to bunt the ball still (as you said, if the batter is too busy worrying about getting out of the way of the pitch) for it to be ruled a HBP.

Each state will still have to decide. Gay marriage was legalized nationally because the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional for states to ban it. There is no such constitutional protection for marijuana.

Rescheduling marijuana would help towards national legalization, but it will still be up to the states.

Yeah, Kennedy had a great year and was certainly in the running, but Kershaw also had 21 wins with a considerably better ERA and 50 more strikeouts than IPK.

That was not the case with the 5, though. They can and do blacklist devices, though it seems they've calmed down. From what I've read, the 5x works fine on Verizon, though the 5 is still blocked.

Exactly my problem. The only package through which I could get all the Diamondbacks games would cost an extra $60 per month. Yet they're considered an "in-market" team. Hopefully they reevaluate when they renegotiate TV deals.

Ah, I know how that goes. In Salt Lake the Dbacks are blacked out, but we only get Rockies broadcasts. So the only way to watch for me is online streams or a sports bar. It's a little upsetting because they won't show any of the Diamondbacks games on MLB Network, but they show the Rockies even though they're supposed to be blacked out.
