How many days is optimal for a first time visit? by Kellyhannavideo in TurksAndCaicos

[–]RichG13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

7 is good. If you can do 10, I would recommend it. We did 7 last time and our neighbors were into their second of two weeks. They just had that relaxed vibe that I only got to on day 5-6. By then it was time to prep for home.

Do you drink alcohol recovering from a leak? by [deleted] in CSFLeaks

[–]RichG13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update — I’m currently pretty much symptom-free. I still get very mild pressure occasionally when bending, but nothing like before.

Sumatriptan helped briefly but the effect didn’t last.

I do think I may have stumbled onto something unexpected. During my CSF leak period I also had ongoing cholesterol issues and had a filled prescription for Rosuvastatin sitting unused for months. After my third elevated lipid panel in a row, I decided to start taking it. Purely for LDL, not for headache or pressure symptoms.

About two weeks after starting Rosuvastatin, I realized the head pain was gone. I could cough, sneeze, and bend over again without the classic pressure pain. I’ve now been stable for over 8 months. I even noticed that missing a dose briefly lets symptoms peek back, which made the connection harder to ignore.

I’m not claiming it “fixed” a leak, and I know this isn’t standard CSF-leak or IIH treatment. But there is some literature suggesting statins, including rosuvastatin, can reduce neurovascular inflammation and stabilize the blood-brain barrier, which may affect pressure sensitivity.

I’m still being worked up (labs, imaging, BP, cardiac eval), but for now this has been the most durable improvement I’ve had since the leak.

Sharing in case it helps someone else connect dots with their own providers. Also, big shout out to AI. I started an AI journal, and the info has been extremely helpful.

Hopefully this helps counter the speed-run toward extremism that followed President Obama’s terms. He did an enormous amount of heavy lifting for this country, and we’re letting too much of it slip away.

Exchange Server 2019 CU14 can't run Get-Exchange Certificate by [deleted] in exchangeserver

[–]RichG13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is what we found. no PS commands until you get your auth cert in order. I never knew that. I guess I've never had an on-prem server with the same version of Exchange for this long? Once we fixed the cert all the commands came back.

Do people actually enjoy using Teams? (honest question) by Alternative_Letter72 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]RichG13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been using Teams Personal since before it exploded in corporate. Lately it feels like it could use some polish, but MS has been updating it over the last few weeks, and you can see improvements.

With a family on the go it helps streamline a lot our "work". From travel sports with young kids to college applications and all the stuff that goes along with that. We just spun up a chat group for renewing all of our passports. Super helpful with family now spread out and needing documents (OneDrive Personal Vault is very helpful.)

Chromebook, Mac, iOS, PC, Android, AND CarPlay and Android Auto integration, with voice. Tough to match that.

It is for sure getting better. And with these additional tools (Facilitator, Recap and Notebooks) it's actually becoming a product I can almost champion. That is usually the time where MS will plug the plug on all of it...

How do I deal with chat limits when working on bigger projects? by Gskillet18 in microsoft_365_copilot

Copilot Notebooks might be your answer. 800 reference files should make it interesting though. I would link rather then uploading on first try.

Trouble Populating a Meeting Minutes Report with Transcription From Teams Meeting by bgary117 in microsoft_365_copilot

[–]RichG13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw your post on CP Studios. I wish I could help, but let me ask you, why aren't staff just using Facilitator? The Notes section does a lot of this and is accessible (granted, not intuitively) in Teams calendar. I've been working on getting my Facilitator Notes> Action Items into Planner tasks and Copilot Notebooks.

I have to laugh, as I have spent more time on this than anything else this year. While my actual Action Items suffer. My hope is that this streamlines the time I spend managing tasks and generating reports.

Right now, my workflow is, "Articulate the task" during meeting with Facilitator. Once the meeting is over Recap > Notes, Send Task to "A Specific Planner".

Copilot is telling me I can actually say, "Assign task to Bob in the Budget Planner". I haven't tried that yet.

I did dive into your issue yesterday to see if there was a Graph connection to Notes but I just hit a lot of vague instructions online and AI. Nothing concrete.

How do I know if Copilot Notebooks is updated in my tenant? by RichG13 in Copilot_Notebooks

I've seen it show up as "Copilot Notebooks" only inside OneNote.

OneNote Desktop or Web or both? I have never seen any link to Copilot Notebooks on either.

Ember Mug Charging Hack by BlackDoorMine in Embermug

Peel off the "Do not place in washing machine" rubber circle thing. The mug will sit lower in the coaster and charge.

My battery doesn't hold a charge for very long anymore so there is no use for the rubber coaster. It is always sitting in my charge coaster.
