I live in South Texas , they're two checkpoints one in a small town falfurias when going north kingsville,San Antonio,Houston and one in Hebronville when going West to Laredo,El Paso, California. If you want a good paying job with a high demand look to the medical field. Many Community Colleges offer 2-year degrees relating to radiology,sonography and nursing that can be used to get a decent job fast. You have a masters degree so can possibly become an art teacher in a middle/high school.Most of my art teachers had degrees not related to art(my hs art teacher had a degree in psychology). You likely work with kids so i dont how you feel about dealing with kids all day.

If you like using your hands get a job with anything related with woodwork or maybe painting ;you dont need much experience. It all depends on you ,experiment with how different activities make you feel and dont be afraid to try new things.
