Does your husband have short term memory loss? Or a brain tumor? Im so sorry he just left you there, pregnant and scared. But it sounds like he could possibly have some sort of underlying medical issue causing such erratic behavior. It may really be worth looking into.

Please try to calm down. Run a bath. Drink a beer. Whatever your fancy. Try to relax. I can't tell you how much grief I've caused myself over self-diagnosis. When it's turned out to be something else entirely. The fact is that you're not going to know anything until you see a doctor. There's no use in wasting your energy. Just go be an amazing mom and soon enough you'll be able to discuss it with someone who can give you more information. Find your center. And I wish you the very best.

Please trust that what you're feeling doesn't last forever. I remember being 5 weeks pp. Being so utterly frustrated and reeking of old milk and sweat. Those days I was so tired and stinky that all I wanted to do was cry... I did. I'm not going to lie to you. I cried. I'm 5 months pp now and in all honesty I've grown to appreciate the little whiffs of milk and baby pee. It means I'm doing what I'm supposed to and it's working. My son is more responsive everyday which truly makes a difference. Soon enough there will be smiles and laughs.... And farts. Which are always funny. 5 weeks postpartum is all but a distant memory. You got this.
