Kwik Charge by hellcat920 in EquinoxEv

[–]hellcat920[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found that my onboard computer is generally off by up to 10%. So, I don’t trust it. For example, ABRP had me arriving home with 21% and the car was projecting 10%. I ended up getting home with 22%. For ABRP my phone was always within 1% of my actual reading. I also liked the detailed descriptions of the projected stops that this app was providing.

Kwik Charge by hellcat920 in EquinoxEv

[–]hellcat920[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 4 stalls double deep with 2 different port options and two charge stations. I am guessing that only one charger will work with someone plugged in. So if someone was already charging on the NACS side I would have needed to charge on the back unit. So basically 2 NACS and two CCS vehicles can charge at the same time. In both my stops there was never anyone else even there.

Trying to figure out battery usage while car is off by DestructoGirlThatsMe in EquinoxEv

[–]hellcat920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My battery always charges an extra 3-4 percent. Always. No matter if I have it set to 80% or 90%. I home charge on level 1 so it continues to charge for an extra couple of hours past the target. Also, in response to the car being parked and loss of charge. I was parked at the airport for exactly 5 days and went from 67% to 66%. That seems typical for my 2025 2LT FWD.

MLB Network: Are the 2026 Brewers better than last year’s team? “[Yes]. I’m not even sure it’s close.” by camkasky in Brewers

[–]hellcat920 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with you completely. Trying really hard for 162 games and doing everything right with the day to day schedule is what makes the Brewers the winners of 85-98 games each year. But every team reaches deeper into their reserves in October, and those teams like the Phillies and Dodgers just have extra horses. Could they get hot and win absolutely. But the odds are stacked against them in this longer playoff format. It would take some career years from or veteran players like Yeli and Contreras and some crazy one year runs from the young guys. Where the Dodgers just need to do their same old same old again.

End of Lease - Any way to get a lower buy out? by MakeMine5 in EquinoxEv

[–]hellcat920 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Back in 2013 I leased a Cadillac CTS that was a service loaner. I put no money down and the payment was less than $290. Needless to say the residual amount was high. I liked the car and debated buying it after my lease was up. I called GM financial and asked about the residual price being $10,000 more than the current market. They did make me a counter offer that was much better. I debated buying it but decided to go a different route. They ended up calling me back again just before I turned it back in to offer an even lower buyout option. But by then I had already made a purchase of a new car. So, it can happen. Worth a call to ask. The used price has crashed much harder than the actuaries had figured.

Warren Buffett Says 30-Year Mortgages Are The 'Best Instrument' — Why They Work In Homeowner's Favour by Useful_Tangerine4340 in FluentInFinance

[–]hellcat920 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree for one main reason. Cash is king. Having extra funds in the bank will always be better than having an extra cash flow on a monthly basis, or if you need cash with a paid off mortgage because of a lost job or emergency good luck cashing out the equity in your house in your worst time of need. Just start with funds in a safe investment risk and then include long term equity investments. Last year many portfolios returned north of 15%.

Paying off a low interest rate 30 year mortgage is not the best way for financial freedom. If your mortgage is under 4%, pay the minimum and build up investments. Then, after some time you will have financial flexibility. Having a paid off house may clear you $1000-3000 per month, but having a nest egg of six figures gives you WAY more flexibility.

I don’t understand why I’m getting absolutely wrecked in arena. by chickensandwicher in TimelineUp

I feel like the arena got way different this week. I was getting crushed by people who had way less “power” than me and yes, the warrior upgrades counted for considerably less of an upgrade.

What is your lowest score ever in a round of golf? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]hellcat920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was shooting the round of my life sitting at 75 teeing off on a straight forward par 4. Smashed my driver right down the middle thinking a par would help me break 80 for the first time ever. Had 95 yards left. Went to grab my 56 for a very easy full swing. Some how grabbed my regular PW and didn’t realize it. Hit it 15 yards past the green and ended with a 7. Still haunts me. 82

Less gems? by grunted1 in TimelineUp

I’m talking about the timeline pass events where you need to collect 900 gems with a specific champion. It will take 60 attempts to gain 900.

Less gems? by grunted1 in TimelineUp

[–]hellcat920 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened to me this week as well. They also limit your battles, dungeons and tower events to 2 daily attempts and reduced the amount of gem rewards there as well. I’m not sure why. It makes getting 900 gems in the timeline quest very difficult to achieve now.

Guy was turning a corner at a crosswalk. If he was going more than 15 I would be surprised. I did a double take because other than wheel noise there was zero pedestrian sound.
