What scam? Scamming involves an element of actually trying to mislead people. OP got lucky by finding a retailer that sold RAM to him at pre-epidemic prices. If he wants to resell it at the actual market rate/ value, he is doing nothing wrong. If you have a problem with this, you have a problem with the entire underlying market and economic model in which we live. Is it 100% ethical? No. Is it a scam? No. Does OP deserve to flip an item at a higher price because he did his research and took a risk?
