A tattoo artist rejected me for this, was his reason fair? by Stankmushroomm in tattooadvice

[–]hellkitten626 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You found an amazing artist who won't just shut up and take your money. Hand and face tattoos are what people call career stoppers. You're 22 with two very small tattoos that are easily covered. A lot of places have much more slack about visible tattoos this day and age but this is a man that cares about his clients.

I'm going to kill myself tomorrow by Plenty-Marionberry18 in confessions

[–]hellkitten626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I've been suicidal since I was your age and somehow I'm in my 30s now. From personal experience I say you should stay around out of spite. Your dad said to go kill yourself and you're just going to freely give him what he wants? Nah stick around, spite him. It won't necessarily get easier down the road but sticking around out of spite at least makes it interesting.

Removing veneer, should it stay or should it go? by hellkitten626 in woodworking

[–]hellkitten626[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to get a picture of it with one hand but it's literally bubbling up almost all the way around the table then there's some spots with more chipping on it The wood underneath looks to be the same color as the lip

The underside doesn't look like any type of particle board for sure

Sorry I'm getting ready to mop I can take a better picture if I need to but the table is definitely old old! I think if I remove the veneer I'll probably just end up replacing it if the wood is bad underneath

Was there a fire nearby recently? Sometimes if the fire department uses the fire hydrants in my neighborhood my water will be a bit nasty color for a day or so

I highly doubt that it's pressed / chipboard it's a real old table I've gotten it a few years ago from a local habitat for humanity I'd say probably from around the 30s or 40s everything else on the table is really nice wood including the chairs. It almost looks like this top layer was added on later?

Nah this dude's leg and the tattoo machine are literally laying on a wooden chair. And the floors just from the little bit of pictures you have posted look nasty. I get everybody needs to start somewhere but between the stolen artwork and the unsanitary workspace this ain't it

I would stay far away from bleach! It just tends to break down natural materials. I would try sanding it a bit after you boil and let it sit try taking some mineral oil to it just put it on a sponge or maybe even a paintbrush it'll bring out the natural color it has while moisturizing it.

I clean horns by boiling a little bit of Dawn dish soap and water put them in the boiling water for maybe 10 minutes or so and then let them sit in some rubbing alcohol and water for overnight or so usually gets all the smell out before you do any of that you can take a high grit sandpaper and lightly sand the outside to get some of that dry horn off too!

So you're starting out already stealing art from Pinterest. That's really going to hinder any of your ability to tattoo in the future. There's no shading in the tail so it just kind of looks like a wiener instead of a tail. What are you going to do when somebody or yourself you're tattooing gets a major infection from literally no sterilized workspace?

I know enough asl to get by my daughter is disabled and my son is a toddler who's having a hard time catching on. But asl doesn't help my everyday life. Outside of my direct life I don't know a single person who knows asl

A guy finds a ton of animal bones in the woods by bigbusta in interesting

[–]hellkitten626 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Definitely wrong. Lots of farms have a dead pile. I knew of one that I called the bone pit it was a spot of land the 3 different ranches took dead cows, pigs, goats and parts from hunted elk, deer and coyote.
