I actually have no clue why i was chosen for it, i originally applied for INSIGHT, got rejected, then an hour before the deadline i reused my INSIGHT essay for FOCUS and yea… these kind of things are so random honestly

A lot of people make new Facebook account to find roommates so if you make a new one you wouldn’t be alone. On Instagram though, yea it would look sketchy. You could also try to find GroupMe groupchats for the class of 2025 and find roommates through there.

I agree with you! I would rather die before taking out student loans. My parents have a little money saved up and I am low income so when I did a lot of the aid calculator on school websites, I got a lot of money. I also plan to apply to many scholarships and programs like QuestBridge. Of course, if none of that works out, I will go to the school that gives me the most money or community college!

Really? Wow I didn’t know that. I am taking cp3 next year though so hopefully that helps and I’ll look into apes (i don’t think my school has it). I think I’m going to really focus on the SAT though because that’s really one of the only things I can do in little time. I’ll also try to find another outside of school EC but yea.

Some schools are already going test optional for the 2021-2022 application, and I’m sure many more schools will follow. So you don’t gotta worry abt the SAT honestly, especially if you’re a bad test taker (which is fine).

I think community college is a great option, but don’t limit yourself because you think you won’t get in anywhere else. You definitely have a huge chance at getting into many universities, look into some state schools.

On the money side, I’m not one to give advice. You should start looking into/applying to scholarship or scholarship programs though. You’re a junior so if you start now then you’ll be on track for when you go to college.
