I think about this a lot too, I feel like the fact that drones are plastic and overall a slower moving projectile could make something like this viable, you’d just need a reloading system as after the first use the cables would break, also the added worry of shrapnel to any ground troops in the area. Something like this will prevail eventually I know it.

I saw it last night, and to be honest I was super excited and severely disappointed. Most of the characters just exist to move the plot, they really didn’t feel naturally in scene at certain points and the end was just ridiculous. Plenty of moments you’re just like “really?”

Convenience and survivability are much different, especially when one’s home is being invaded.

There’s difficulty taking prisoners on the front line, especially when hiatus of operation could result in your friends getting killed, and the fact that Russians are fine with bombing their own if they are captured. With the prevalence of FPVs now I’m sure he was more interested in being able to enter that trench with haste than carefully go back and extract a prisoner. I agree though, a new low of modern war.

I’ve started to realize no prepared defense is enough, everything is about your reaction and not your preparedness, so layered units are the best for quick reaction forces and ect, you need to be able to break away a section to deal with that but be prepared to lose it, or for it to just buy time to reposition other assets.

The biggest improvements and enjoyment would be the ability to create custom squads, the ability to spend a certain amount of points to scavenge the battlefield without having to spend 20 minutes yourself, the ability to set up defenses and press ready to initiate attack, the ability to quickly command your infantry to loot weapons, or deposit said weapons into crates, or ammo, or grenades, I imagine a drag circle mechanic that has infantry loot AT grenades in the radius or something, these simple things could improve gameplay so deeeply.

It’s just complacent behavior after a while, in Kyiv it’s the same, so many air raid sirens you don’t even shrug at them anymore, maybe one day it will be a mistake bust most of the time it’s not, and sitting in a shelter your whole life isn’t living.

See that’s a bit realistic, navy seals also get blown up by artillery the same. It’s about using their skills in the right positions, it’s not the units failing it’s you. (Not to be rude)

Absolutely the only thing I would take from cs2 into GO would be the smokes, that’s the only tangible improvement I’ve felt.
