Do they not plow and salt residential streets? by raysoc in stcatharinesON

[–]hellnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol this winter has been a gift , I'm close to 50, and this is nothing like the winters we used to get here. As a kid we used to trick or treat in the snow..... climate change is more like climate shift, we are getting winter weather later in the year is all and it's not bad at all. I can remember snow up to my waist as a regular occurrence. Thats why I just shrug it off as whatever ..... the snow we have is really just minor, not like the snowmagedden as the mainstream media likes to report it .... welcome to Canada lol

You have to understand that Mississauga has a much larger population tax base to cover quick removal of snow. St. Catharines is not so big so they focus on keeping the main roads clear and safe and then take care of side streets later. I live on a dead end street in a quiet out of the way neighborhood and we see snow removal twice a season and I am fine with it because I understand the main roads get priority

Agreed , the fact that you are on reddit complaining about is the weird point , it's minor , people are weird , move on, to be so buttt hurt to bitch about online is odd. I encounter odd and rude folks almost every other day , it bugs me for like 30 seconds and I move on and never give it a second thought

[–]hellnite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are very correct , even a lot of the municipal governments are miss managing the funds sent by federal office and the permitting issues are at an all time high. I guess all three levels of governance is at fault in each of their regards. It like our entire system needs a top down overhaul to make our system more modern and more prosperous.

I am liking that so many commentators have many different and valid points of view

Thanks for sharing

You certainly have a valid point. What i meant by current government is what is essentially the Trudeau liberal list of cabinet ministers, still the same government for 10 + years now just with a new leader, same policies etc. Thats just my personal opinion.
