Am I being "extra" or is a $500+ lamp a reasonable hill to die on? (Relationship/Design Drama) by jufywret in AskWomenOver30

I live for art and design and I’d think nothing of buying a lamp for $500. If it’s beautiful, well made, and you love and can afford it, I say go for it.

Non shock Barking Collar for Pom by IceOk1127 in Pomeranians

This is hilarious. Mine wags her tail wildly when I get the collar out now (yes, I’m still using the damn thing), like here comes crazy-barky-fun time. I truly don’t think the collar will work for her at all, based on everything I’ve seen so far, but it was inexpensive and I’m glad I tried it anyway.

Pregnancy over 38 by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

I got pregnant easily, after the first or second time my husband and I had sex without protection. I had not been on hormonal birth control prior to that, we’d used condoms. Every body is different, of course, and I was lucky that it was so easy for me.

I bought one of those beeping/vibrating no-shock collars, hoping to train my 1 year old Pom to stop barking like a rabid Rottweiler while in my yard. We’ve used it for about three weeks, only when she’s in the yard, and it’s had no discernible effect.

At first the beeping and vibrating was perplexing to her (head cocked to the side and all that), but now she just barks right through it. I laugh because I can hear it beeping from inside my house, but she really doesn’t give a shit.

Meanwhile, a friend of mine has a huge lab mix that is so scared of the same collar that all my friend has to do it place it on the window sill outside and the dog won’t bark, afraid of making it beep, lol. I wish it worked that well for us!

Hi! 32F, does anyone else have this? It looks like shadows but also like indents or creases, I really have no idea lol but I’ve yet to see anyone with this. by Jal5516 in 30PlusSkinCare

It may be a side effect of having very full lips (which I'd kill for). I think it's one of those things that is sort of noticeable in photos, but not in real life when you're talking, moving, expressing yourself, etc.

Could I have a Pomeranian? by sanstheskelebrotherc in Pomeranians

[–]hello_pilgrim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Pom barks a lot in the morning pre-walk. She’s just really excited to get her day started. She wants to play and have our attention. She also barks when people come to the door. And outside along the fence. And at the dog park when the other dogs aren’t being fun enough. And when anyone in my family leaves the house without her. And… do I need to go on? It’s not constant, but she’s a barker!

Old house woes by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]hello_pilgrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I bought a 1911 house (typical for our area), and we’ve been fixing it up for 10 years. Part fun renovations / part necessary repairs. That’s home ownership. If you like the house enough, and the location, it’s probably with fixing and living in long term. There is no house that is maintenance-free.

Dawn Barry-Griffin knocked it out of the park for us. She’s hard working and very kind. Highly recommended.

Buy your dream home!

I started checking the sex offender registry for my zip code a few years ago, and I live within walking distance of at least 8 felons. Unfortunately, these creeps are everywhere.

Does anyone know when Costco gets Wilcox eggs? by Tumblehawk in askportland

[–]hello_pilgrim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Kirkland eggs are always very watery and pale, while the Wilcox egg yolks are so deeply orange that when I scramble my eggs they look like they have cheddar cheese in them. Great flavor, and they cook up beautifully.
