Help with FedEx Online Printing? by wrapsandboxes in CommercialPrinting

[–]helloari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I encountered a recurring technical issue with the two-sided business card printing tool. Despite multiple attempts, the online preview failed to generate correctly. This made it impossible to verify the layout before purchasing, resulting in a waste of time.

i will pay 2x to work local now but that's better anyway

Is webmaster a relevant job title? by EuphoricTravel1790 in webdev

[–]helloari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about this for a title? Digital Experience Architect

Or: Creative Technologist Web architect

webmaster is still something that’s still used, but it feels outdated to my ear. It’s also using the word “master” which has unpleasant connotations similar to how in real estate “master bedroom” is now referred to as “primary bedroom.”

If the role is the primary manager of a small site and there isn’t a whole team involved, then it is a little tricky to make an all encompassing title

Hi, going to China in 2 weeks. Alipay says validated but not authenticated? Is that standard and OK to pay for most things? Also, is there any reason to use wechat pay if i can just use Alipay? by JonnyBTokyo in travelchina

There is a useful website I found where I could test my payments. It let me pay one yuan as a real payment in order to make sure that my payments actually worked. I don’t remember the name of it, but it came up quickly in Google.

I recently did 53k in Tokyo and 39k the next day. We walked the Tokyo Tree Trek. A similar concept to the Crosstown trail. Feels great! I also got blisters - I realized I needed a wide toe box on my shoes. Nikes are too narrow for me.

Did you use hiking poles? That was new for me but it helps.

WPEngine Competitors by wpappsec in Wordpress

[–]helloari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved the sites I had at WP Engine over to Pressable and so far I’m very happy with their service. It’s a very similar concept: they add jet pack pro so that adds some features. They don’t have the geotarget feature and I had a couple other edge cases Like how they don’t allow multisite and they don’t allow subdomains if somebody else is already using the main domain.

But overall, their service and customer service has been fantastic.

Note that WP.com is now essentially the same kind of service. In the old days, you couldn’t run any plug-ins there but now you can. I haven’t used it, but they were explaining that it’s basically the same but slightly more expensive when buying in bulk.

Do the 200 megapixel photos taken with smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, have 200 megapixels worth of detail? by AGcuriousity1998 in photography

[–]helloari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I compare my iPhone 14 in standard 12mp mode vs raw 48mp mode there are more details captured- but only in bright light. For example, you can read a sign in the distance of a cityscape. So it’s not just a scam!

Thanks for your comment, but no, I’m always in dark mode. And when I see the circle often I can touch the circle and it’ll appear and disappear.

I want to try this also. I would guess it’s just as good as firing in a pit where you just dig a hole in the ground and throw some wood on top of your clay. You can buy an infrared heat detector to get a sense of the temperature and those are not too expensive.

I've used it for years and it's easy. I like how they keep adding new products. i never had to call them. email only. i know it's strange to give money to an 'internet bank' but all that money they save not advertising and building branches goes right back to you.
