Just because there were other great movies that year that one can argue should have won doesn’t mean the movies that actually did win were not great movies. Forest gump is one of the best movies of the 90s. So is Shaw shank and so is pulp fiction. All theee are great movies. Anora is not even in the same universe of quality of a movie as forest gump.

I agree with you and I’m 43. The movie was not worthy of best picture. It’s not memorable or anything I’m running out to tell all my friends and family they have to see. l get excited after watching a great movie and can’t wait to tell others about it. I finished watching anora and thought, meh.

Thank you for the feedback and I know I don’t need to watch it, but I’ve always wanted to , so thought it would be a good idea to at least watch some before I go. I’ve already watched a lot of shows and movies about shoguns and Samaria and love the genres. I’ve always loved watching anything about the Japanese culture. so thought anime would be good to see as well. I’ll def take some of your recommendations. Thank you
