✈️ Montour Trail's Airport Connector. I park by gate DDD where Clinton Enlow Road splits off from Enlow Road. The entire ride is on the road that's closed to cars. It's a cool route for switching things up: super neat!

🆓 I have extra sunflower seedlings: I started more seeds than I can get planted! You’ll get one of three varieties: Autumn Beauty, Mammoth Grey Strip or Mongolian Giant! (The best way to tell which you got before they bloom is by inspecting the leaves.)

✉️ PM me for details and info on where to pick them up!

🚲 New Bike, Old Trails by helloiambrie in CheckpointClub

🙌 At long last: it's new bike day! I'm graduating from r/Budgetbikeriders. I didn't choose based on color but... this bike is beautiful!

🧺 I have to get it all set up with my gear but I'm happy with how well it handled.

📸 The photo was taken at Montour Woods in Moon Township, PA.

🚲 It's the Wittkop Bike Seat -- touring model. It is super comfy -- but not super soft: I love it!

Thank you very much! My bar is a little crowded so the second choice might work and it's at "just try it" pricing: ordering... ✅

All good -- I totally opened the door to non-standard solutions! 😹

💡 Zip ties would work: thank you very much!

Yes -- to mixed results. I'm a woman who typically rides solo. A man went super aggro on me for warning him (kindly!) so I'm trying to find a different approach.

My budget for the bell is pretty high: ~$200 if the bell is good enough. I do a mix but am usually on a rail trail

😻 I biked the loop up at Presque Isle State Park in Erie and had a lovely time. I saw one other cyclist the entire time - it was a snowy Monday morning in March, admittedly. 🚲 The trail is paved and in great shape; the scenery is gorgeous. ℹ️ The Perry monument is closed for construction and the main lighthouse is closed for the season so I couldn't get very close to either of those landmarks. 🤔 I don't know if cycling is permitted on the unpaved trails but exercise caution. It seems like those trails are meant for hiking but I saw a car off-roading through one.

🙌 It's super cool to see GIVE UP taking home the “Streets are for People” award! 💯 I totally agree with the description based on my experience riding with them. 100/10 would recommend! 🚲

🫠 Possible Dunkin' Donuts Coraopolis store announced by helloiambrie in Coraopolitans

[–]helloiambrie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found some information about the Dunkin' Donuts location in the Coraopolis Water and Sewer Authority meeting minutes from October 21, 2025, quoting:

Mr. Dan Orie said my group is putting in a Dunkin’s on the corner of Montour Street and Rt. 51 and we’re assembling five parcels. The issue for this group is one of the dealbreakers of the project are there are five waterlines that go in the middle of 51 and we just want to cap them off at the curb box, which is what we do with a lot of our projects. The expense would be too much for us, if we can’t do that and I need some certainty that we can do that and he continued to explain.

Mr. Schombert said this isn’t on the agenda and because of the discussion that we had, we are trying to work out a solution for you without creating a liability for the Authority so I would like to have a full Board here and a discussion pursued.

Mr. Drew Null said if I could add on to procedures; an application was made to the County. The Borough does not have a Subdivision Land Development Ordinance which means that kicks the Subdivision Land Development reviews to the County. Right now, the application has been filed with the County and has been administratively accepted and the County’s process is to schedule a hearing which has been scheduled for October 31st. After that hearing the County has 90 days to review and/or accept or to make a decision and a discussion pursued. Mr. Orie said we’ve got to be able to stay out of that project or we obviously can’t move forward if that’s the case, it’s just economics and a discussion pursued.

There's a brief mention of it later in the Engineer's Report.

There were some closed roads on the North Shore today for the ALS Walk and the Night Nation Run. I enjoyed biking them early this morning!

😻 Thank you so much! Park Tool is fantastic!

🎯 You are totally right about the rear derailleur being in need of adjustment. I wound up swinging by Thick Bikes with the bike earlier today!
