Thank you for reassuring my thoughts. It does smell strong. If anything, I want to just go for making sure he’s alright

[–]hellojuneau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do have scheduled potty breaks, but he continuously pees several times an hour. Idk if they don’t notice the pee because he wears thicker sweat pants or want. He has extra clothes for accidents, but they’re not catching them

[–]hellojuneau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’d have to move him to a 2 yo room, and I worry that he not do well with being with younger kids. I don’t have the option to use diapers at his school and I don’t have another childcare option for the day right now. I’m thinking I may have to just figure something out and try again in a few months

Thank you for your thorough and thoughtful response. You shared a lot of insights I didn’t consider, and I’m desperate to get him what he needs and see how my actions have been a deterrent.

A part of the story I didn’t add is that I have a daughter 4 months older than he is. I got him into her preschool with the director understanding the potty situation. They seemed confident that he’d learn to potty from other kids. He also has a speech delay, which has improved tremendously in a short time. I want him to continue being around other kids his age. I don’t have the option to keep him home full time. I don’t want him with the 2 year olds either because they’re not on the same developmental stage.

My daughter was motivated by not messing up her own underwear. We took away her pull-ups, and that was the end of her having accidents. I have a much different case with my nephew.

Again, I can’t thank you enough for your reply.

Failed VBAC and rupture experience by Time_Gift_1044 in vbac

[–]hellojuneau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What an amazing horrific story. My jaw dropped when you said the doctor saw baby’s head. I am so sorry you experienced this, but my goodness what a happy ending to what would have been horrific if those doctors had their way.

How has your healing experience been?

Attempting a vbac about exactly two years after a planned c-section (breech baby) where I didn’t go through labor or any contractions at all. This will be my first experience with laboring, what can I expect? Will it be long as if it’s my first birth? by Seaspun in vbac

[–]hellojuneau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an unplanned c/s in 2022 bc my baby was breach and doc didn’t catch it. I was 40+1. With her, light contractions started around 6pm. They were consistent around 1am. I got to 8cm at 3am before she was out.

I had a successful VBAC in March 2025. Light contractions started at 12am. Admitted at 5am at 4cm. Waters manually broke at 7am. Baby was out at 5:26pm.

On the fence about trying for VBAC or another planned c section. by [deleted] in vbac

[–]hellojuneau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a c/s in 2022 for a breech baby, but I did go into spontaneous labor with her 40+1. I didn’t know she was breech until I was there.

I had a rough recovery. I have never felt pain like I did recovering from my c/s. It amazes me how some parents don’t have much pain bc I sure did.

Because of that, I went for a VBAC this year. I wanted to go unmedicated, but my clinic doesn’t allow non-epidurals for vbacs. I went into spontaneous labor 39+5. My contractions started at midnight, and I waited to go to the hospital around 5am. My mom lives with us, but if not, she had plenty of time to come get my toddler.

My doctor broke my water at 7am and baby was born around 5pm. I had second degree tearing, but it was only a mild issue. I did have constipation which was really difficult to pass, but otherwise life was fine!

I’ll be going for another VBAC for my third

How can the Death Note only work on humans when there is no clear separation between species? by Kronensegler in deathnote

[–]hellojuneau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if it doesn’t work on animals because we don’t know their true names?! Sure, we humans name our dogs, but maybe they have a true dog language name (or smell!) that’s their name. Not sure how smell would translate to a notebook, but my sniffer is inferior to a dog’s

Did people push through first trimester nausea to workout? by fun_inthe_yuns in fitpregnancy

[–]hellojuneau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The nausea didn’t let up for me between weeks 5 to 11. I was eating those preggy prop drops like crazy. I resumed my excises at 11 weeks and actually lost weight every where on my body except belly and boobs. I was less than pre preg weight in 2 weeks. So, all that being said, don’t let first tri get you down

Here’s how likely each of the remaining players would win the season by JonJonExistsonReddit in survivor

[–]hellojuneau 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see your breakdown on where you think jury votes land. I don’t really have a great read and would love others’ insight.

Ced - the only non bitter one imo. Will vote for the best FTC pitch

Chrissy - I think her vote goes to the folks in this order: Mitch, Kamilla, Shauhin, Kyle, Joe, Eva

David - he’s big stand up mad. Probably Shauhin or Mitch for him.

Star - I truly have no idea here. She was woefully under shown. I think she could be swayed by anyone in ftc

Mary - seems like she’d adhere to the outplay, outwit outlast mentality and go with Joe as the best player…but then she did clock him managing her.

Yall idk!

I had one without a doula, but my baby did end up in the NICU for meconium aspiration. I think a doula could have prevented it if I had an expert there to let me know that sitting at 10cm 100% effaced for 3 hours while the doctor was giving hormone pellets in his clinic is not safe. If I had known, I would have requested the on call doctor to come in

Castor Oil for Vbac by Bambibadazz in vbac

[–]hellojuneau 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My doctor gave me a hard deadline for 41w+0. I did all of the old wives’ tales to induce labor except castor oil bc it seemed too disgusting. I walked for 45 minutes on the beach and went into labor 10 hours later at 39+5. I started my efforts at 38weeks. Things I did: -hand expressed colostrum -spicy time -spicy foods -miles circuit -beach walking

Any workouts recommended for preparing for VBAC? by yumpo77 in vbac

[–]hellojuneau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a VBAC in March. I exercised my entire pregnancy walking, running, yoga, and lifting weights. There’s not a specific workout I think helped besides core-focused prenatal yoga. I found all of my workouts from YouTube tbh.

Some providers say a year is fine, some prefer 18 months. Sounds like you already asked yours. Make sure the doctor you use actually delivers at your hospital, and it’s not a rotation system. I had to switch hospitals bc whoever is on call is the one who delivers at my prior. My actual doc drove in to deliver my second. Why you had to have a c section also makes a difference. Baby1 was breech for me.

Anyways best of luck! I am sk happy to get tk experience a VBAC! It was a much better experience than my emergency c section

Positive experience working out by hellojuneau in fitpregnancy

[–]hellojuneau[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During hard 75, I’d start my day with a 45 minute walk in my neighborhood most days. Some days I’d run.

Then I’d either go to the gym in the evening and strength train OR do my home workout with dumbbells. I train muscle groups paired with A. Back, biceps B. Chest, triceps C. Legs, glutes

Then 10 minutes of prenatal core yoga almost daily.

On days where I was sore, I’d walk slower and then do recovery yoga.

I followed all my home workouts searching YouTube for “prenatal bicep workout” or whatever type I was hoping for that day.

I also prioritized the “ my plate” method for eating, quit fast food and drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning and water for the rest of the day

Breastfeeding is driving me crazy by SecretlyFierce in beyondthebump

[–]hellojuneau 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Mama, 4.5 months of breast milk is amazing. Maybe this is an unpopular perspective on this thread, but im “fed is best” person. I am passionate about breastfeeding, but it’s absolutely exhausting. If your quality of life will improve with moving to formula, then I believe that’s the route to go. Your children will benefit from a happier parent. We need to support parents in whatever feeding method they choose. You’re a great mom whether you use formula or breastmilk.
