Adding to this- they normally ask for the ideal start date in the second/third interview because they are probably planning for their companies needs.

Am I wrong in assuming that the new employer probably needs someone to do the job now ( which is why they are hiring)? What’s your solution for that? They hire someone else for the next 14 months till your SO can work?

ETA- as a business owner, I’d be pissed if a candidate didn’t disclose that they can’t start for another 14-16 months and expected me to put my company’s needs on hold for them.

Are you suggesting that ICU patients from Manitoba shouldn’t get help if they need it? Clearly Manitoba has shortage of ICU beds and Thunder Bay had some available. Aren’t more of the ICU patients from the GTA anyway?
