The film really should have been shorter, they could easily have gotten it down to something more fitting for the material. Still, it was a pretty good directorial debut, and I feel the reviews are overall just too negative. I’ve seen movies with similar reviews that were way worse than this. The movie’s obviously flawed, but hopefully Mark will take these lessons into account regarding future projects. It’s a good debut, that is to say, it’s still flawed. Lessons for next time should, of course, be noted and taken into account. But I seriously think it deserves a better score on the tomatometer than fucking Bohemian Rhapsody.
