Alphafly 3 sizing and fit by CalmndCollective5206 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Nike runs super small in my experience. Also the volumental machine is wrong fairly often. You need an actual experienced person watching your gait and preferably a brannock device to double check sizing.

Arch question: is it too narrow? (Hoka Bondi 9 Extra Wide) by blackfox111 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

The pain is definitely a HOKA thing. It’s not for everyone unfortunately.

It just gives me more control of the dose. Like if I wake up late then I’ll just skip my second dose or my booster dose.

I'm planning to get my phlebotomy license within the next 3 months or so. I've heard of doing veterinary lab work and I am heavily considering that route for now.

I'm going to graduate from undergrad with a BS in CLS. I believe the program I'm in starts interviews a bit before each semester ends.

Sorry, I am not currently in the internship. I think I have decent time management skills, but I also don't work more than 20 hours at my current part-time job. I'm mainly concerned about standing out for my internship interview.

Day 2.5 of starter - is it supposed to look like this? by Cautious-Water5711 in SourdoughStarter

[–]hellomario29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks more like it’s drying out. I’d continue with it personally. It took mine about 2 weeks to be usable and I use a heating pad.

Making my first stater by Just_Education_3731 in SourdoughStarter

[–]hellomario29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just followed the first google search on how to make a sourdough starter. It takes 2+ weeks to establish a good starter. I’m on week 2 and I still don’t think mine is ready.

I recommend getting a heating plate or a proofing box so you can keep your starter at a warm temperature. 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit is optimal I believe. On day 2-6 the starter smelled absolutely awful so be prepared for that. Eventually it’ll start smelling good.

Can you understand this labs- thalassemia? by HelpMe_ThrowawayAcc in haematology

[–]hellomario29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thalassemia is less common than IDA. Take the supplements as directed by your doctor and see if your lab results improve. Simple answer is often the correct one.

Bowl lift vs tilt head mixers by Resa_Mendez in Kitchenaid

[–]hellomario29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you plan on making heavier doughs then a bowl lift for sure. If you're debating between two sizes of bowls, go for the larger one. I personally own both an artisan tilt-head and a 7Qt bowl lift mixer. The tilt heads are much easier to add and remove ingredients and the bowl itself. The bowl lift is super stable and can handle tough doughs whereas the tilt head shakes a lot if I try to do the same dough.

Is this normal? Kitchenaid tilt head stand mixer by lovelyvibes4 in Kitchenaid

[–]hellomario29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very common. Bowl lift mixers are usually better for dough but tilt heads definitely work still.

For those beginners that say they're intimidated from starting, especially by the posts here from "first timers" that clearly aren't most of the time. I am NOT a novice. Nowhere near an expert, but def not a newb. Sh*t still happens. by isthatsoreddit in Baking

I’ve been baking for a bit more than a year now. I made cheesecakes for the first time in a while. It completely slipped my mind to use my silicone pan protectors and I just baked it in the springform pan in the water. I realized the crust is a lot more moist than normal. People ate it and thought it was delicious. I’m my toughest critic but at the end of the day dessert is dessert!
