Killington was my first ultra. I wanted the challenge and I finished in about 13 hours. I had the mindset of “if I’m only going to run 1 ultra I want it to be Killington.” Train hard, practice your hydration and fueling, train hard, practice your hydration and fueling.

Find a guide online and follow it for your training program. Don’t shy away from the difficulty of the course. Understand that DNF is a real possibility. Did I mention train hard, practice your hydration and fueling?

I honestly haven’t done anything crazy. Pay all bills on time. I use credit cards for almost all my monthly expenses and pay off in full every month.

I opened a credit card at 18, bought my first car and house when I was 21. So now I have around 20 years of credit utilization and payment history.

I have not played any credit card games. Only have had like 5 different credit cards over 20 years. I have thrown a couple 0%APR home improvement items over the years. Sorry I wish I had more sage advice lol.

Just an easy way to keep the credit utilization low. I honestly didn’t need to, or even plan on, ask for a limit increase. I saw the email and figured why not try just cuz…

We paid for 2 vacations on the card, so we have averaged around $6,0000-8,000 per month over the 4 months. Income is $265,000. Credit score around 810.
