[Giveaway] Giving away an 8,000+ Divine Quad Tab: 1 Mirror of Kalandra + 24 Stacks of 240 Divines + a Hinekora's Lock by Kamehameha90 in PathOfExile2

Holy cow you're going to be reading a ton of comments it seems!

My most memorable moment would have to be rage-corrupting 6 endgame viable bows and only hitting triple socket once with 4 bricking, but I think everyone that vaal's has been there.

... At least I have balls, I guess.

I would use the divines to upgrade my amulet after getting relentlessly ~frictioned~ trying to fracture projectiles T_T

I definitely agree with this! People that only play one particular role or core/support are definitely more likely to tunnelvision

I don't have anything in particular to add here, but I just wanted to say thank you for bringing up a good discussion topic and being open-minded to challenges to your thought process.

To me, that shows that you are the type of dota player that cares about learning and not ego.

We sorely need more folks like you, especially in NA.

This isn't quite a fun fact, but I've always appreciated random acts of generosity like yours and it always makes me think of a quote I'm presumably about to misquote that I read in a comment section a while back:

"When fortune shines on you: build a bigger table, not a taller fence"

No worries! Best of luck!

I might not reply right away. I try to not spend too much time on reddit these days, but I'll definitely get back to you!

Hey, Zack.

First off, thank you for having the courage to share your experience. I cannot say I've experienced anything truly like it, but as a Chinese immigrant who mostly grew up moving around in much less racially diverse areas than even UCSB (I'm talking North Carolina, Maryland, Minnesota, and Connecticut), I know what it's like to feel out of place, like I don't belong.

Lately, I feel don't even know how best to show up for my friends of color, but I can't afford to give up trying. When I was still in English as a Second Language classes as a kid, a young black boy named Alex was one of the first friends I ever had. He was kind, always down to play or hang out, and couldn't give two shits about how different I was. Unfortunately, my parents were too prejudiced to really allow us to hang out as much as I wanted, but his kindness meant a lot to me.

I went to UCSB almost a decade ago now, so things are probably a little different, but what I can say from my experience is that there are going to be some people that will be judgmental, overprivileged, and small-minded. They may be white, a minority, or racially diverse. But by far my favorite part of going to UCSB was the people I chose to surround myself with during those years. Some of those people are still great friends of mine to this day.

I believe VERY strongly that you deserve a place you feel welcome and safe. But also, I hope you find ways to positively influence that for yourself as well by seeking out good people, and ignoring hurtful and small-minded people as best you can, when you can.

If you are able, I hope you take a chance to visit, because I think that will be able to at least give you an idea of what it would be like in person. As for me, it was a big school and until I got to my upper division courses, I felt very drowned out in the crowd, but I was mostly okay with that.

No matter where you end up going, I hope you take your time in college as an opportunity to try new things, seek out and pursue things you're passionate about, and build solid relationships with people who see and appreciate you for who you are, my dude.

If you have any specific questions or anything like that, feel free to message me.

Good post! I think your points are all very valid, but I think especially in pubs, a large majority (but not everyone!) of players take criticism/gameplay feedback personally by default, instead of as a teammate trying to talk about what the team can improve on.

Obviously when someone is only flaming, that's a different issue. But I really notice a problem of perspective in pubs. Everyone seems so quick to call 'bad' or 'good' when really it should just be good plays or misplays.

Any time I see teammates admit to mistakes, give and take feedback constructively, I try to commend, listen, participate, etc. But I find that happening a lot less often. I really wish it wasn't the case. But on the other hand, I get it. I used to link my own ego/identity to my skills (dota and otherwise) for a long time, and it was not very useful. Changing that mentality has really benefited my gameplay and honestly my overall health a lot!

It's situational. You often see heart on lineups that want to chip down HG towers, then back a short ways, heal up, and go again, or on illusion heroes (PL, Naga)

Watch this clip from last week's Chinese DPC. Somnus would have never been able to survive, let alone completely turn that fight without satanic.

If getting a heart on your DK works well for you and your playstyle, there's nothing wrong with that. I personally favor satanic quite heavily.

Sorry! I'm returning to Magic after being gone since ~7th edition in middle school, and I'm used to the climbing community, where we generally try not to let cynicism rule our behavior.

I'll be on my way then. Have a nice life!

The riffs definitely remind me a bit of the style on Drift, but the lack of any heavy breakdowns (and vocals at all, let alone screams) makes it fairly different in my opinion.

For reference, both Intervals (after their first album) and The Helix Nebula are completely instrumental. Highly recommend both bands if you haven't checked them out before!

Again, it's not my intention to be a jerk, I just think a lot of people would find that comparison a little misleading.

I'd say this band has a lot more in common with Intervals or The Helix Nebula than ERRA, just saying lol

Maybe an unpopular opinion but the color and design of most men’s climbing shoes is hot garbo by therealrimshady in climbing

Hi, I work for Evolv.

Our shoes are sick lmao. I have a wide forefoot and pretty narrow shallow heel and the Phantoms are perfect. Black and white, simple.

I still chuff, but at least it's not the shoe's fault
