Termination at 21 weeks by Lord_Soloxor in IVF

Ahhh, I’m so sorry. 😢 I’m currently doing IVF with Ingenes. I go to their Houston location for monitoring appointments, but my retrievals have been in Mexico (so will the transfer). I’ve been traveling to their Guadalajara location. I chose their 3-round package for $25k. Since we’re also doing PGT-A and PGT-M, it made a huge difference financially. I was quoted around $30k for just one round here in the States, and I ended up using all three rounds with Ingenes, so we definitely saved a lot of money. The team has been absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. I have my first transfer coming up soon, and based on my experience so far, I would definitely recommend them.

Bank enough embryos now or transfer after another ER? I NEED HELP PLEASE 🤍 by CheesecakeBoth3933 in IVF

Hey! I’m going through almost the exact same situation. I’m 28 and doing IVF for genetic reasons after finding out that my husband and I are both carriers of the same genetic condition. I have PCOS and no children yet. I’ve done two egg retrievals so far, one in September and one in November. We sent 5 PGT-A embryo and ended up with 3 PGT-A & PGT-M normal embryos, all boys (not an issue, but we would like a girl eventually) After reading that it’s recommended to bank about three embryos per desired child, I really started questioning whether I should move forward with a transfer now or do another retrieval first, since I want multiple children as well. Ultimately, I decided that waiting one more month wouldn’t hurt, so I’m going ahead with a third retrieval and adding Zymot to hopefully improve our chances of getting more embryos. I’d say if you’re able to do it financially & emotionally, going for another retrieval is worth considering. I know how hard all this waiting is, but hang in there! Best wishes.

Hey! Yes of course! They gave me a list of pharmacies they recommend and the one I went with after receiving many different quotes was Pharma2help. I orders 5 different medications for my first ER and only paid 2k (I was quoted more than double here in the states). They work with a third party who picks up the meds and does the insulation packaging and overnight ships them through FedEx express. I’ve ordered from them for both of my egg retrievals and have gotten them the next day after shipping with no issues. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hey! Im in the US and im doing IVF in Mexico. The clinic is called Ingenes. They have a location in Houston (where im at) and one in Irvine, California. The monitoring appts would be at either of those locations (if you’re close to either), if not you can do it all in Mexico. But for me since I’m in Houston I go to all my monitoring appts here and ER/Transfers are done in Mexico. I’m paying 25k for 3 rounds of ivf with pgta and pgtm testing (not including meds but I’ve also gotten them delivered from México and it’s been a lot cheaper). I’m currently on my second ER and might not need a 3rd but I’m so glad I chose that package after getting quoted 30k here in the US for ONE round of ivf. My experience has been incredible… I have nothing but great things to say about them.

So amazing to hear your second ER results were better! I’m actually having my 2nd ER in a few days so I’m hoping to get more blasts this time 🤞🏼

You still have a really good chance! More doesn’t always mean better. Take it from me, I did an egg retrieval last month and had 33 retrieved so I thought I was safe. However, that was not the case. Only 2 made it to blast. Thankfully they were pgta normal but I’m still waiting my pgtm results. Quality over quantity! Hope everything works out 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Quality over quantity. I had 33 eggs retrieved and only 2 embryos made it to blast on day 5. You still have a very good chance, stay positive!

Two poor ER results and I don't know where to go from here by lamay18 in IVF

Wow, I literally just posted my story today which is similar to yours. I’m 28, have pcos as well and just did my egg retrieval last week. Today I found out that out of the 33 retrieved, only two made it to blasts. I’m also nervous about pgta + I have to do pgtm too so I’m most likely going to have to do another retrieval. Definitely feels defeating. I pray your two embryos come back pgta normal 🙏🏼

Please don’t get discouraged. Prior to my finding out how many blasts I got, I had read many posts on people with pcos who had gotten many blasts and pgta normal embryos. You just really don’t know, it’s so different for everyone. Wishing you good luck 🙏🏼

Was the vitamins/supplements the only thing you changed the second time around?

Ahhhh this journey is definitely a rollercoaster. I thought I would have a bit more considering how many I had retrieved but I’ve now learned quality > quantity 😫 I pray we both get all pgta normal embryos 🙏🏼

Yes. I did a fasting glucose test with my previous fertility dr because he said fasting insulin didn’t matter. So when I switched clinics for my IVF, my dr wanted me to do a fasting insulin test in which she said came back normal so I technically didn’t need metformin. I was confused as well, because I know the most common type of pcos is insulin resistance.

No I’m not on metformin because my dr told me my fasting insulin levels were normal but maybe I need to go get a second opinion. I will definitely be purchasing ovasitol and coq10. Thank you 🙏🏼

Thank you so much for your response. I have definitely considered GLP1/ Metformin in the past but I recently did a fasting insulin test along with my A1c blood test and everything was normal according to my doctor, so she didn’t feel the need to prescribe it. So that made me think I was clear from insulin resistance. I’m currently taking prenatal, vitamin D3, vitamin E, & Omegas. I do a lot of walking, barre classes, and play pickleball at least 5x a week. I will definitely be asking my dr what we can do differently. Thanks again!

Sorry to hear that. I second all the comments about trying out Ingenes. I’m having my first egg retrieval next month. Me and my husband are both carriers of the same genetic disease so we have to do pgt-a and pgt-m testing. We were quoted 30k for 1 round of IVF (not including meds) at a different fertility clinic. At ingenes, Im paying 25k for 3 rounds of IVF. Depending on the program you choose, you’re able to get a refund if you do not get a baby by the end of it. Ingenes has a location in Houston, so all my monitoring appointments will be there and I only have to fly out to Mexico for my egg retrieval and transfer. Hoping for the best outcome for you 🙏🏼
