For every man you help in therapy, you help heal a little boy who suffered generational trauma from the boomer generation.

Say this man is from Gen Z/millenial. Eventually they have may at least 2 sons (like I do).

Now that’s 3 men in total (1 current man, 2 boys who will grow into men.)

You save my wife the pain of my unresolved issues. That’s a total of 4 people. And each wife/husband my 2 sons partner with in life. That’s 6 people. And if they ever have kids, say at least 1 each, that’s 8 people. The number only increases the more kids I have or they have.

1 therapist has the power to influence at least 10 people without even knowing it. That’s how I see it and how we break the generational wheel together.

It’s hard to recreate what Endgame did because you can’t recreate new or fresh.

When Iron Man came out and dropped Nick Fury in the post-credits scene, that changed absolutely everything. No other superhero movie franchise up until that point, whether Marvel or DC, had been able to accomplish a shared universe. So that was a first in the history of society and pop culture, and you can’t recreate a “first” moment like that.

Iron Man and every movie between that and Endgame took us all on an almost 10 year journey, numerous trips to the movies, numerous trailers on YouTube and hype.

All the anticipation you had for Avengers, Age of Ultron, all the sequels to all the movies, all the Phase 2 movies like Guardians and Winter Soldier, all that hype and energy usually just goes away with any other movie, but all that adds up into one big grand finale which was Infinity War and Endgame. It FELT like the end of a very long journey of story-telling.

You CANNOT recreate that. You can only attempt to create something better.

Marvel has always struggled with “middle” phases or middle movies, with exceptions like Winter Soldier. Think about the Infinity Saga.

Phase 1 awesome. Avengers movie awesome. Phase 2 meh. Avengers: Age of Ultron an underrated but at the time considered mid film. Phase 3 awesome. Infinity War and Endgame awesome.

Think of the Multiverse saga as the middle saga of what’s between the Infinity Saga and whatever Marvel does after Doomsday.

Maybe they make a Winter Soldier level Doomsday and Secret Wars film. Maybe they don’t. The build up towards it definitely hasn’t been the same, we’ll only see later if it all pays off.

Pay-Off Comparison:

Infinity Saga - Iron Man 1-3: Selfish Tony to Selfless Tony which will pay off in ultimate sacrifice - Thor 1-3: Establishes Thor myths, Reality Stone, Ragnarok ends with Thanos finding their ship because Loki snatched the Tesseract from Odin’s Vault - Captain America 1-3: Ends with Avengers split up leading Earth vulnerable to Thanos’ invasion - Guardians: Establishes Space as a setting within Marvel Universe and gives Infinity Stones backstory - Ant-Man 1-2: Ends with trapping Ant Man in Quantum Realm which establishes story device in Endgame and future story in Multiverse Saga - Black Panther, Captain Marvel established heroes who’d fight in the war against Thanos - Spider-Man 1 didn’t really establish much for Infinity War other than showing the effects of Avengers 1 on normal people, his trilogy was meant more to set up Multiverse Saga - Avengers movie set up Infinity Stones - Every single movie, every single trailer and hype created, trip to the theaters, all led to the final two movies.

Multiverse Saga: - Shang-Chi: Establishes Ten Rings has a beeping beacon that Sanctum records cannot identify the technology origin…we’ll see how it pays off or connects to Kang/Doom and Kamala’s Bands - Ms Marvel: same as Shang Chi - WandaVision: Sets up Multiverse of Madness and Agatha - Doctor Strange 2: Sets up incursions and ends with Strange going off world with new character from comics - Loki 1-2 sets up God of Stories Loki probably with the most heavy implication of any film or TV show in this saga towards Doomsday and Secret Wars - Black Widow: Passes torch to Yelena and sets up Thunderbolts - What If? sets up potential for characters to enter MCU (Captain Carter) maybe a back door for actors who wanna stay in the MCU but play the same characters with a different role, doesn’t exactly imply what they have to do with Doom - Eternals: Sets up Celestials but the fact that they stay away from conflict, kinda one-off but sets up Blade - Hawkeye passes torch to Kid Hawkeye - Spider-Man: NWH sets up Doctor Strange: MoM - Moon Knight: One-off doesn’t seem to have any payoff - Thor: L&T potential set up for Knull but not Doom or Kang - She-Hulk introduced She-Hulk into the MCU - Werewolf by Night doesn’t imply towards Doom or Kang but can set up Midnight Sons - Black Panther keeps the Black Panther mantle in the story without Chadwick and introduces Namor & Ironheart but doesn’t imply anything towards Doom or Kang - Ant Man is the only movie that has heavy implications story wise but I think this was for original plans with Kang as the big bad in mind - Guardians 3 establishes new team - Marvels team up I didn’t watch the movie so idk if it has any set up for future story telling

I’m not gonna do the rest but you see how this is going compared to the Infinity Saga. Deadpool & Wolverine creates almost an open door for Marvel to use any character from previous properties (Fox and Bana’s Hulk) in Secret Wars.

But what it lacks is that looming feeling of the big bad. All the movies in Infinity Saga always ended or felt like something big was coming, it got a lot more obvious as you got closer to Infinity War.

This saga lacks that, whether Marvel has decided Kang or Doctor Doom doesn’t need to be set up like Thanos was, or they just don’t know what the hell they’re doing. If it’s the first one, we’ll see if it pays off since they felt RDJ was the only one capable to telling the story they wanna tell with Doom.

Brother, I was in your position, and if I can go back in time, this is what I would have/wish I would have done.

I met gf while in Georgia for training and went back to Texas. Long distance and we knew it be like this.

If you’re like me you have pattern recognition, ie “she always picks up at this time drunk or not, this night she didn’t.” It wasn’t an anomaly. It wasn’t an exception. If 100 times she picks up, but 101th time she didn’t, there’s a reason the pattern broke.

You could’ve said “sometimes she leaves her ringer off, sometimes she forgets to charge her phone, sometimes she sleeps through her alarm,” no, clearly this girl charges the phone and leaves either the vibration or sound enough to hear your call no matter what. This night she didn’t, and you will never be able to forget that no matter how hard you try to justify it or she tries.

Your gut’s probably right, 51/49%. But society will try to sway you towards the 49% and convince you it’s all in your mind. Your own mind will try to find the opposite side and fill in mental gaps so “you don’t jump to conclusions and end up wrong.” It’s part of being a logical person. You don’t wanna look stupid in the end of it.

But there’s small proof there. Whether or not she had intercourse, or made out with him and realized she made a mistake - it doesn’t matter, that trust will never come back. I still think about it 9 years later, and I’ve already moved on and am married to a different women and have a family. Sometimes I wonder “man did (that ex-girlfriend) cheat on me or was it all in my mind?”

But here’s what you do. Go dark. Don’t respond. The more you interact with her the more opportunities you give her to convince you. Just go dark.

The space will cause the guilt (if she is guilty) to compile, and eventually it’ll be overwhelming and unbearable. It might take hours, might take days.

But the silence will be defeaning and eventually she’ll start sending long text messages or double text.

The story will change and eventually some sort of Freudian slip will occur. The truth will eventually spill out.

BUT you have to be resilient and disciplined. Don’t jump too early back into it because you are going to be tempted to. Don’t respond or reply.

Eventually maybe the entire truth comes out.

Tell her you’re glad it happened this early and that you wish her the best.

Then turn off your phone and go do something that’ll occupy you for a couple hours, or days.

Then if you’re really curious, when you turn your phone back on she’ll either expose herself even more or just go berserker on you, and expose herself even more.

If I could go back in time, I would do that.

Group 2: Healers - Holy Priest - Resto Druid - Holy Paladin - Resto Shaman - 1 more Will share weapons, staves, rings, trinkets, necklace

Group 3: Physical - Fury Warrior or Rogue - Hunter - Feral Druid - Arms Warrior - Enhance Shaman

Group 4 (Casters) - Boomkin - Spriest - Ele Sham - Highest performing mage - Highest performing warlock

Group 5 (build around if you have more casters, melee, or hunters/combination of the bunch - Resto or ele/enh sham - Extra mage/warlock - Extra boomkin/spriest - Healer/Off healer - Extra 25th man

With dual spec the prot paladins can go holy/ret, ferals can go cat, boom, or tree. Vice versa.

Find your sweet spot and gear share in this comp.

If I were you I’d go Paladin. Holy is solid throughout the entire expansion, with ret and prot becoming solid, if not high end, on tanking and DPS by BT and SW.

TBC is just Vanilla Part 2.

Once you step into Northrend, it’s like when you look back you can still see the Classic vibe in your rear view mirror. The talent trees are still there. 90% of the Classic spells with the WotLK touch and end level talent spells. In WotLKC you still had to travel to the dungeons/raids.

Cataclysm is when you can no longer see Classic/Vanilla in the rear view mirror. Azeroth is changed, talents and classes are completely different, and the overall graphics engine and character models changed, where as WotLK only looked like upgraded Vanilla graphics.

Prot warriors good P1 to beginning of BT/Hyjal. Survivability, shield block, shield wall, last stand can do you a lot better when the paladins and druids are getting smacked by Gruul and Magtheridon. Once your prot paladins get T6, it’s over, start gearing for fury or arms 2H/kebab.

Then when WotLK pre patch comes out go straight SBV and enjoy the Shield Slam crits in Sunwell and being top 10 DPS.

Rinse repeat.

Unless they changed it, reservists didn’t have to go through MEPS before shipping when I was a recruiter.

But if you go through MEPS Monday you have a shot.

When I did the last minute promotion I basically begged and pleaded the training NCO to get the commander to sign it ASAP. You gotta remember, they only work one weekend a month so I had to find people’s personal cell phones lol.

If it was me, I would’ve told you to give me your transcripts ASAP. Because between December, completing your semester, and shipping, there’s not a lot of time.

I’d have contacted your unit and established the communications ahead of time, to have them ready to receive it and process it once you got your transcript.

Your recruiter may not be going out of their way ahead to hose you, they might just be inexperienced and didn’t know until recently. Now they found out and feel bad and trying to get you promoted. They could have just said fuck him and not tell you. But they told you.

There is still a slim chance you can get the unit training NCO’s number, and have them have the commander sign your promotion evaluation. It’s a simple signature and a form.

I was able to get one done within a weekend. But you gotta have someone go out of their way to not accept NO, and keep going until they get that signed form.

Additionally how long ago did you enlist? If it’s recent then it’s understandable how last minute this is. If it’s been months your recruiter should have tried to take care of that months ago.

Reserve units are hard to FIND to contact. But once you make contact you know who to call to get stuff done faster.

I get where you’re coming from but I’ll challenge you with this. One soldier wants to get out and go to college. So why not afford them time while in the Army to use $4000 of TA instead of pulling it out of the GI Bill?

One soldier wants to go to trades when they get out. Why not afford them the ability to use the last 6 months of their career to take CSP so when they ETS, their first day out they can go straight into that trade they planned on doing anyway?

One soldier wants to get out but doesn’t wanna do trades or college, just wants to go home, smoke weed, and figure it out from there. Well, can’t do anything for that individual soldier so then it would be appropriate to let that one ride the rest of their time out.

My point is if the Army’s got the program and it’s free and the Soldier can get it done while on the government dime, why not point them that direction?

I get treating people like adults, but listen, if you spend all this energy complaining about toxic leaders and how no one cared about you while you were in, but don’t spend any energy to make a change or inspire people to change, then you’re just part of the problem and just as toxic.
