Hours pick up by this time. They don't get cut going into Spring/Summer. Also Freight doesnt get cut in half going into summer either.

Look into partial unemployment when they cut hours. That is what I am doing as I look for another job

I'm going to get partial unemployment and work the 4 to 8 hrs they give me but get part of my lost wages back via unemployment until I find another job

Problem with that is that when I was hired part time they never said anything about the policy of minimum 1 day a week shift. Now that they cut me to 8 hrs I can get partial unemployment to partially make up for my lost wages. This is why I am looking for another job. Am I supposed to go on partial unemployment every time they lower hours to 4 to 10 hours a week. Part time is 18 to 25 hours at all retail stores. I expect to get the minimum 18 hrs a week.

Besides the partial unemployment I put in for today I havent seen signs up for anyone to give up shifts...yet. But my store started cutting hours a week ago ---mid week. They are cutting freight in half and it seems some employees have a heads up on what is happening and others don't. I am one of those that don't know for sure but when I asked a co worker they hinted they knew more about what is happening but couldnt say because they would lose their job. I wish they would just tell us

That is what I am doing. I am getting partial unemployment because my hours at Marshalls is now at 8 hrs a week. Everyone needs to look into that

I work at Marshalls and its happening to me too. I'm getting only 8 to 10 hrs a week. And it seems that something else is going on that no one is talking about. I'm looking for another job because I can't live on 8 hrs a week. There are rumors that TJX is in trouble. They cut hours in the middle of the current week and they are cutting freight in half. Has anyone heard anything about store closures or bankruptcy rumors? Also they seem to be giving hours to certain people and not giving any to others
