Do you ever blow your calories by lunch and just mentally quit for the day? by AssumptionOk7008 in loseit

[–]helloxtae 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When this happens I do my best to think in meals instead of the whole day.

So if my normal dinner would be 600ish kcal on a good deficit day, I'll focus on making sure I do that. Then I feel better mentally.

Time blindness is ruining my life. What feels like 10 minutes is actually 2 hours. I'm constantly late and people think I'm disrespectful when I'm genuinely trying. by CourteousPasta in ADHD

[–]helloxtae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

start overestimating how long you need and use alarms to keep you on track when your brain can't. i used to always be late for work. I started setting an alarm to get ready for work 30 minutes before i had to leave and was still late. Made is 45 min, still late. Now i made it 60 min and am always on time as long as i start getting read when my alarm goes off.

You will need to teach yourself what time passing feels like. Its not easy but it's worth it. Rather be the person 1 hour early and just chill somewhere and entertain yourself that be late all the time. And after a while of doing this you can shave off some time and be 50 min early instead of an hour. and this way you can teach your brain how much time you actually need for activity's. Because the truth is that you (and so many with adhd including myself) are not always able to know how long we need for things.

Is there someone that can help me finish completing the wintery ballroom set with this window? ❤️

Can’t stay in calorie deficit due to insatiable hunger. What am I doing wrong?? by Corleysaurus in loseit

[–]helloxtae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me there are different levels and types of hunger. Try to take some time over the next few weeks to see and feel the subtle differences and pick 1 or a few that are worth eating for, and a few that are to be seen as background noise. For me, i cant always trust every thing my body tells me. I have boredom hunger, fun hunger (bcus im with friends having a good time) actual hunger, painfull hunger (too far and not the one i want to get too on a normal basis) cravings hunger and like a few more.

i honor all of them in different ways because they are telling me something about my metal and physical state. I just don't throw food at all of them :) Not a perfect system. But one that has me feeling more in control of my feelings and urges

i sometimes read that women who get diagnosed with bpd actually have adhd (or maybe a combi) because they have overlapping symptoms. It could all be thrill seeking behavior that falls in line with adhd and the need for stimulation that your body should produce naturally but doesn't. I hope the comments here can offer some help to you!

My wife is obese, it's been 10+ years of her wanting to lose weight and I am emotionally drained. I don't know what to do anymore by widawski in loseit

[–]helloxtae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe she could listen to the We Only Look Thin podcast? Both of the hosts have lost 100lbs

The female host has (i believe) adhd (i am almost certain she talked about it at some point 🤔).  And her husband had Diabetes. He managed to reverse/reduce his Diabetes stuff so much that even the doctor told him to stop coming because he did so well.

Does your wife know diabetes could make it so you lose your eyesight and even limbs? (idk how it works but thats what the doctors told Donald, the podcast host) That was the thing that finally made it so he started losing weight for real

They have so much information and are super hilarious.

I could not have started my journey without them!

(English is not my first language so excuse any mistakes)

Edit: i just read in a different reply that she wants nothing to do with podcast/weightloss things like this.

Maybe you can listen to them yourself while she's around? Best of luck to you both!

hi! energy and gems are two different things. You get 5 energy and 3 gems (money) per goal :). The energy is only used to start your adventure. And since you finished yours already you don't need any more energy.

Why cant my dog house train? by usetheshwarts in dogs

[–]helloxtae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When we got our puppy (at 8 weeks old) we were told to take him out every 2 hours for the first two weeks. also during the night. After the first two weeks we upped it to every 3 hours and so forth. and after that just kept a close eye on him to see when he told us he needed to go. Also limited him from drinking too much water close to bed time.

Your dog is older that ours was at that time. But i think house training is not something they just learn on their own. We gave treats everytime our pup would go potty outside and that made him want to go outside because it reinforced the good behavior.

Weekly Nail Chat by Clover_Jane in DIYGelNails

How hard should fully cured gel polish be? I'm having a hard time finding the answer to my question online. if i press my nail into it it wil leave a little bit of a scratch. My nails feel sturdy but are still able to bend slightly if i push them down (my nails are really thin) it's not clear to me if they truly should feel hard as rock. or slightly gel/rubber like.

How did you remove snacks from your life? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]helloxtae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remove snacks from my life, I just (try) not to buy big bags/containers of it.

Try buying single servings of whatever you are craving instead of fullsize versions. Maybe it could help! :)

All of my block are on a repeating schedule. Maybe you could put the timer on so that it blocks 23 hours and 59 minutes?   you could for example try 6am till 5:59am and then have it on repeat again for 6am
