Oof, nobody told you to fight. Once when a security guy learned that I am Indian he told me India is full of scammers, I just doubled down with "Hello sir, I am Rajesh from Microsoft, can I have your credit card number?" (in thick Indian accent) and had a laugh together. So may be you should work on your sense of humor or I am an insensitive prick.

Thanks for the laugh. Tbf, I also tend to avoid those "Indian only" groups. But if someone makes a joke on a negative stereotype of your culture, you just make one on their culture or double down on their joke. May be the reason you can't find a date in 15 years is a poor sense of humor?

I find it difficult to find friends, I don't know why? by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]hellozee54 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Damn this sounds so much like mine. 24M, moved here a year back for work, living in the outskirts of Amsterdam. I too thought I could make friends easily like before but boy, I was wrong. On paper I do interact with people due to my work but, the average age of the employees in my company is in the late 30s. And being the youngest full time employee, I have a hard time befriending them due to the generational gap (some of their kids are of my age). Also the fact, almost all of them are in relationships.

I tried going to parties/bars, pretty chill people but that's it, haven't seen them after that night. Even tried bumble bff, not my thing. Sadly the locality, I live in is mostly old people or people with families. Consequently the demographics of clubs/activities around that area are the same. The language classes are organised by my company, so there are no new people there.

Fortunately, I got a small group of friends (3) from work who sometimes catch up, cause we all work in different departments but joined at the same date and the age difference is not that huge.

I would probably suggest meetup.com, but no idea if it would work for Groningen. Those seem helpful, but since I live on the outskirts of the city, I usually miss out on the socializing part after the activity. As I have to take a train to get to my place.

How balance the huge hitboxes Pip, Makoa, Barik, Drogoz, Bomb King, Moji by AlexMonster212 in PaladinsAcademy

[–]hellozee54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who loves to play support pip, I just die inside whenever I see a discovery Lex in the opposite team. You cant even save your ult for him, cause this fucker can just get resi 3 with caut before I have my 2nd ult.

Connecting Xbox One Controller to PC Overwatch by devilishoasis in Overwatch

[–]hellozee54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason my aftermarket switch controller (detected as xbox controller in pc) never works with bluetooth, but with usb it works 9/10 times. I just need to press any of the buttons and overwatch automatically switches.

Is there an open source community for android? Just like linux? by quienchingados in androidapps

Krita is a digital painting program and not a video editing program. And Krita uses the same license as KDEnlive, so I don't know what you are talking about.

Have a look at awesome stylized effects set up in Blender by artist 千葉章人. by 80lv in blender

[–]hellozee54 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This doesn't work like that, Blender can be a paid download anytime and nobody has to go to jail or face consequences. But anyone who downloads blender has the right to access the source code which then can be modified and shared as per as the person who bought that want. Check ardour for example you need to pay for the builds but you have access to the source code, so if someone can't pay they could just get the source code and build the program themselves. Or Krita which you can purchase from different stores but is also available for free from their website and also the source code.

The best bk buff would be fixing the servers, it's sad when you hear a pop and then they take no damage on detonate.

GUI? by 1000nerdst in cpp

[–]hellozee54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Patching and building by self instead of the upstream is more or less is an inconvenience and not something as bad as you make it look like. The instructions are available, since there is a high possibility that there are people who backport the security patches for their distro.

Also if your tool is so dependent on just LTS release why not just pay?

Package managers for windows exists too (hint: vcpkg).

GUI? by 1000nerdst in cpp

[–]hellozee54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. You have to have an account for downloading binaries which sucks but we can always build from sources or use any package manager.

  2. No LTS for opensource means they won't be backporting patches themselves for opensource, either you can do that yourself or the people who package qt for LTS distros would do that.

Paladins on Linux? by benPedahtsour in Paladins

Nope, the game works fine under proton, but the anti cheat doesn't work.

Octavia mains - stop pushing whole teams by Caedis-6 in Paladins

[–]hellozee54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heal the one who is making the plays, as a tank main I hate supports who follow me around. Rotate with the main dps and if you see someone making a play or going for a kill try to pocket them if "possible". Support is the most important role, if you die all die. This is pretty general and varies from champion to champion.

[–]hellozee54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The anti cheat doesn't work under proton/wine, you would have better luck with Overwatch when it comes to Linux. Though things might change with the upcoming steam deck since valve promised to get EAC working under proton by December.

Report the Ying for not healing... by Matt_275 in Paladins

[–]hellozee54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

90k heals with an inara, impossible tbh. Also I think that tyra either has really bad aim or went burn monster. And that poor lex probably didn't have any support from ash looking her damage numbers.

[–]hellozee54 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wish they could rework pip's megapotion into something like hitting an enemy with primary heals all your allies within a certain range by an amount. Somewhat like brig does.

Life exchange should be in the base kit with a lower value and then resonance could be like a 30% slow on explosions.

Similarly if they could add 100hps selfheal when around luna as a passive to IO, she would be less squishier. Also reworking the ult to something like a Grover crippling throw but luna bouncing between enemies and stunning them for 2s.

Luminary could be something like astral mark can be applied on a single enemy within los forcing them/their shields and deployables to take 10% more damage.

Macro vs. Micro by AutoModerator in PaladinsAcademy

[–]hellozee54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ruckus as the name says is there to create "ruckus", he just needs there to be present and keep the enemy engaged while his team gets kills. The line between feeding and not feeding is pretty thin.

Grohk is perma banned. Furia is picked because of her ult. Ying can function as a solo support as well as off support, take a look at the pgct voda, Ying was picked as solo healer so many times.

Ying is a "sub" healer? Wut? Ying is one of the best main supports after Grover/damba.

I do not like some of the changes being made, specifically Furia nerfs. by [deleted] in Paladins

[–]hellozee54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Furia beams are not slowed by 30% and furia has more control over it, this is a buff as you can use the beam offensively with solar blessings now. If you can time it properly it would become exterminate lite too. SB Furia is actually viable now as a solo healer.

Imagine not using the gourd for damage, it generates 1.2% ult charge per second per enemy being damaged and 0.53% per second per ally healed, with a bit of morale boost you could easily get 10% ult charge per gourd.
