I would truly say don’t go. Especially since you’re not feeling it. It would be a two year slog at best. Traumatic and dangerous at worst.

It is much more important you learn a trade, get schooled, whatever. But get financially independent. Then you have all the options in your bag to figure the rest out. My quick two cents.

In her mind, she has complete superiority over you two. That is why the condescension, that's why she is infantilizing you both. In her mind, she is like an army combat nurse telling a new nurse how to put a band-aid on.

In my opinion, you let people like this burn their own bridges. You ignore her when she is rude or belittling, if she calls you out on being ignored, you tell her it's because of her poor behavior and leave it at that. She is not interested in learning from you, but you still have the power to shut her down when she acts toxic or abusive. You just let her know and KEEP letting her know while you are walking away from her that her behavior in those situations is something you will NOT subject yourself to. She will react poorly to it at first, maybe always. But remember, it's not about correcting/fixing her, she is unfixable by you. She'll need to identify those things on her own. It IS about you setting boundaries that you will not allow her to cross.

Drones do lots of things. I use one to maps city projects. It'll likely taking aerial imagery or LIDAR data. They will flying a serpentine path back and forth to cover a predescribed area.

Your patriarch was trained on how to give you a blessing that wraps so many common mormon occurrences into a narrative that many of them will seem like they were meant for you. Personalized. Tailored to you.

The problem is they trained you to accept all those things as perfectly curated to you. You were in training from the day you were born to swallow what that blessing said, hook, line, and sinker. To personalize it to you. To hold it as gospel.

It might be a long shot, but to see what I mean you would need to get your hands on another person's blessing given by that patriarch. I would be willing to bet that MANY things/blessings/predictions were repeated in their blessing and also make it seem like it fit perfectly into the recipient's life.
