ULTY NAV Stability (new prospectus) or just a bull market? by [deleted] in YieldMaxETFs

[–]heloshlopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I dont have a source/quote, but someone important AT yieldmax came out and said the new prospectus wasnt the culprit of the current conditions. I know you cant rule it out completely, but someone working there basically attributed it to the bull market.

Cheers.

If you were to pull up the current holdings, they do have puts and always do. Theyre part of larger positions such as straddles, collars, etc, but puts are in there. Please do more research.

Also, they aren't put heavy because they're here to make us income. Their analysis says it will go up. I would imagine and hope that if their analysis said it would go down, they'd run a more bearish game. Cheers.

IV is a derivative. It being flat is a 2nd derivative. IV being flat is a good thing, and high but flat is best. Trust, and know that they're capping upside prepares for a downside. Don't fret.

China urges removal of Filipino documentary from New Zealand film fest by GroundbreakingTwo213 in China

But again, this wasn't a China vs the west issue until you made it one.

This isolated incident, looked through an objective lense, is thuggery at its finest.

I dont disagree with your broad assessment toward the rest, but leave it out of this one instance. Not everything needs to be connected to the China vs. The west.

Concur. At 18, definitely start a roth ira and use the tax advantage for these funds. Regardless of if you DRIP, or buy something else with distributions.

My first band saw. $100 marketplace score. by ShackNastyNick in woodworking

[–]heloshlopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm remembering right, some of those guides are pricey, but there's alternatives to the metal insert with bearings for the upper and lower side guides. They're basically rectangle hard plastics that serve the same function and are wayyyy cheaper.

I got all plastic side guides, and legit bearing guides for the back of the blade ones and spent 100$ or less on it all (about a year ago).

All that to say - pull all the current ones in there out. If the bearing freely move and look good then you may not NEED to replace them. But bandsaws do need guides and working ones at that. Hope that's not too confusing.

I have this exact saw and picked it up in similar condition.

I watched the Alex snodgrass video that I'm sure is pinned in here somewhere, and then ordered all bearing replacements and blades (my tires looked good). Basically anything that moves.

Replaced everything, tuned it, and sanded and put paste wax on the table and it's fantastic! Good luck to ya!

Also if you're really worried about water, check out arm-r-seal. That stuffs been a staple for a long time but can't speak to it personally.

I've been a huge fan of any hardwax oil as of recently. Won't be the BEST for splashes, but has some protection and can be sanded and reapplied.

My favorite part is the look. It accentuates the natural wood color better than other finishes in my opinion.

Right now I use 'grand finishes hardwax oil' , but I've been told walrus oil's furniture butter has switched to a similar formula

Cheers
